    I'm schizophrenic, just started medication today.. it's very weird to see optical illusions like this. I saw the mask as distorted and the facial features were just too close so it was obvious that the mask was caved in. The box was the same thing it looks like someone just drew pointed lines on the cieling and floor of the box.

    I have schizophrenia and this is not true. Sometimes people just see things in a different perspective, that doesn't necessarily mean you have a mental condition. Don't let this scare you. If you think you have a mental illness, the best thing to do is go to a doctor. They should tell you what you need to go in the right direction to get you help.

    • @pharaohramessuxii4119
      @pharaohramessuxii4119 3 года назад +1

      No.
      Gaslighting is a classic method used in order to get someone to question themselves. It's a form of mental abuse, and I am not sure how effective it is against a person with a schizoid condition.
      Some people do that in order to heighten the possibility of a desired outcome, plus they are exaggerating the severity of having a mental illness in order to scare people.
      I cannot say that this is a conclusion, but some people need to quit using stigmas as a way to scare people or as a way to make it okay to stigmatize others.
      "We're just trying to help!" Why so defensive? Well, if one was to insist on sharing sentiment with that notion, then yes, that would be indicative of either a perceptive disorder or a personality disorder coupled with an overly simplistic perception that leads the person to think that they can force someone else into accepting an erratic view.

    This worries me, if people with schizophrenia can see what’s actually there as opposed to the illusion, perhaps we’re the ones who don’t perceive reality for what it really is. What if life is an illusion that we’re just pre-conditioned to perceive as “ordinary” or “normal” and people with schizophrenia can see past the veil and see the world for what it truly is. What if we, the neurotypical folk, are the impaired ones. What if we aren’t actually treating schizophrenia patients but are just dumbing them down to our level because we, the majority, are so self righteous that we believe we are normal simply because we don’t see or hear things that aren’t there.
    Ahhhhh existential crisis!!!! Helppppp

    In summary, a healthy mind can experience deceit and confusion; a genius mind can determine accuracy and inaccuracy through its ability to study and make distinctions; schizophrenia struggles to make correct distinctions, if any at all.
    No honest assessment should have to involve seeing if you can manipulate a person into accepting confusion.
    The unsettling face is a distraction that produces an optical illusion; underneath it is an easier plane to follow that shows the true motion of the object. Once you notice that, then you can notice that the illusion seems to appear as if it's two separate planes moving in opposite directions.
    This is not a conclusion; it takes observation in order to understand the very mechanism, but honestly, as long as you are not chronically too certain about the things you observe, then yes, things are fine.

Also are vision problems taken into account?

    It actually looks flat to me. There is no hollow. Yes, the medicine helps for a while, but it seems to cause even more damage after a while or the brain becomes dependent on it, which may be why people in the US never recover from the symptom of schizophrenia. If your brain is too active for whatever reason and making paranoid associations, it won't be able to censor things and will be a virus. The medicine will bring a moment of clarity. I'm very curious about how psychotronic technology could help. My old PTSD destroys my brain, and I couldn't help it from firing and rotting me, but being saturated isn't good either.

      I've personally witnessed & as it's often portrayed that people of high intelligence, even geniuses walk a fine line when it comes to mental welfare. I myself could see the images / different aspects immediately. However because Schizophrenia is hard wired in my Family history it was a little reassuring However I'm convinced this approach barely sheds light on it & isn't even remotely close to giving us anymore medical Insight than the repetitive Q&A that True Schizophrenics are often bombarded with in order to scale & or calibrate just how Schizo anyone individual may be . Meanwhile I'd strongly suggest one that thinks they just may be prone to such a disease, to abstain from any drugs & alcohol as it's well documented that it has adverse effects , especially on individuals such as yourself. As well ,keeping an eye on your emotional welfare & finding alternative ways to ground one's self especially in moments of high anxiety if not full blown Paranoia. As the family members I have that are true Schizophrenics ,one happens to be extremely Paranoid as well, the many years & copious amounts of antipsychotic drugs & a host of other antidepressants, uppers downers etc etc ,wrecked havoc on there health. As there isn't one organ that's no effected by these drugs. I've noticed what's helped them tremendously especially after years of suffering alone ,is they ended up settling down & getting married. Something about having a routine & someone that they can truly trust to watch out for them & while having there best interest @ heart. I couldn't imagine being stuck in such a situation myself but doing so alone would just be a real hell. So it's certainly proven, at least in these cases that having someone you can communicate with daily on how your feeling or how's the voices today ( 1 Good or 10 Really Bad) or ( Are they Happy ,Sad, Funny,Suicidal, Homicidal?) That they are finally secure in there current state & have a fulfilling life to look fwd to. All apologies if it seems as if I bombarded you but figured it best to put it out there. Good Luck & Best Wishes to you !

    What an awful thing to say! Who are you to judge those suffering from schizophrenia in such a way? Most schizophrenics are not violent or dangerous to other people. The media is responsible for portraying the mentally ill in this way. The lives of those suffering from schizophrenia are bad enough without people like you judging them so harshly.

      Lilium BB Believe It or Not schizophrenia is a very dangerous disease please don't precede what he is saying as a mean thing he's only looking at it from a scientific perspective you're looking at it through an emotional perspective we are just trying to find ways to diagnose it and treat it as quickly as possible
