Probably the best video ive found on explaining and technique... i never really had anyone to teach me or take me fishing growing up.. so im learning a lot later in my adult life thanks to videos like this
Gracias por el video corto y bien explicado. No tenía muchas ideas así que intenté algo por mi cuenta y quedó parecido al del video. Pero mejor pruebo con el que enseñas allí a ver qué tal. Bendiciones
Put a rubber bumper or a bead on the main line to stop the weight from slamming into bezel. Saves the embarrassment of snapping the line after several casts or when using a heavier egg sinker.
Is it okay if my leader is flourocarbon? I know that sinks more than mono. Just wondering if that would make a difference since I want my bait to float off surface. I assume a power bait or salmon eggs still wood but what if I'm using something like worm or liver?
Do you suggest adding a bead between the weight and swivel or is the set up just fine without a bead ? Going to try trout fishing for the first time ever soon !
Lol You do By tightening your line In other words you (or more specifically your reel) is holding the other end There will not be enough slack in your line for it to continue to pull through the sinker and rise to the top or too far up even
Do away with the swivel and just use a Carolina Keeper and a hook of your choosing tied directly to the end of your leader. Super simple and it will float bait better than with a swivel and heavy pre tied leader.
U have a lot better chance of catching them off the treble hook just get a size 20 and use a small enough ball of power bait to just cover the hook just bigger than a pea and you will never Miss one they swallow it every time…

Straight to the point, great video. Thanks
Thanks brother for the info. I’m in Arkansas this week doing my first trout fishing.
I use a barrel swivel a red bead & the sliding sinker. I then tie my own leader so I can make it as long or short as I want.
Extremely helpful and straight to the point! Thanks bro 😎
Nice and easy demo thanks bud.

Is there a video or something of a demonstration you can show me of a link
Please
Thats what I do & use a barrel swivel so I can make my own leader

Can you use a bobber im new to fishing
What lb weight is that line your using for the rig? thank you
1/2 oz to 1 oz
Thanks for your post
Great video!! Thank you
Can you use this same setup just add a slip bobber to it?
nice and simple! thank you!
Aren't treble hooks illegal in MD unless they are part of an artificial lure; or did the rule change this year?
that’s just for rockfish, it’s fine for trout
Well damn RUclips fishing game officer... 🚫 🧢... lmaoooooo 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
@g00seegg37sounds ridiculous
what kind of line?
what lb leader?
I wish I seen this video earlier before going fishing today and not knowing anything
I use a small split shot in stead of a swivel it works for me
You don't find it getting dragged by the current
When using a free weight what keeps the bait from floating straight to the top?
how not finna float to the top just a couple feet depending on your leader
Lol
You do
By tightening your line
In other words you (or more specifically your reel) is holding the other end
There will not be enough slack in your line for it to continue to pull through the sinker and rise to the top or too far up even
can someone tell me what’s the difference between snap swivel and a regular one?
A snap swivel you only have to tie on the main line. The snap parts opens and closes, easier and quicker to change hooks
@@viewsbydro8201 Gotcha Boss!
Thx mate
Thank you!
yall must of never heard of them carolina keepers

No float
I dont trust treble hooks I lost 3 pb’s cause of them
How yk there pbs when u didn’t catch them
You always need to expose your hook with trout
Never been a fan of treble hooks for trout in general
Yeah I also lost loads of PBs I never caught…😂
U have a lot better chance of catching them off the treble hook just get a size 20 and use a small enough ball of power bait to just cover the hook just bigger than a pea and you will never Miss one they swallow it every time…
worst less you did it so fast and hardly even see what the 👿 was in it
