Jarrod! I been watching you for a long time , you went away for awhile , so happy to see you back . I'm kinda going to see if you can help me or some guidance to the right direction . Btw , I'm 65 senior citizen retired , I might become a homeless here cause I'm selling my very cheap condo , because it's not safe for me to live here anymore , no choice I really need to move . The condo is only $30K and it's in the process of getting sell I hope . $30K is all the money I have in my life , so I can't screw up on the decision I'm going to make . I'm already decided that I want to live in the camper van full time . I'm trying to find one that I can buy with the money I got , which means I'm looking for a used one . So many crooks out there and I'm old it's all the money I have , I don't want to get coned of buying a bad one and won't even last for few months and have so many issues . Please help me find a fordable one that I can live in for a long time . I know popular people like you knows a lot of people that may be you can trust for me not to get riffed off . That would really ruin my life and become a homeless . I do have a fixed income social security low income . And cannot afford a house with what I have or apartment rent . Can you help me and guide me to get a good deal . Shower is not very important for me but I gotta have a nice sized sink we're I can clean myself there . But I want my tiny living area to feel cozy and feels home . Hope I'm not bothering you too much , for some reason I feel that you might be able to help me . Hoping to hear from you .
I wish you read this brother , I'm not asking for money , I just don't want to make a terrible decision . It's always been my dream to have a camper van conversion , so I'm going for a used one and hoping you can help me a good one for that price .
On our van trips we always have way more clothes than we actually wear. We were in Europe for 5 months with hand luggage only. Ok it was a glorious summer. Ian had 2 shorts, 4 tshirts and a light sweatshirt, 3 sets of undies and socks. I had 4 dresses, 1 pair of leggings, light jumper, 3 sets of undies. Walking boots and sandals. We could fly, go by bus or train quite cheaply. We returned and immediately downsized what we carry in our van.

I’m going to answer this the best way I can. I have no idea hahaha. But seriously I’m friends with great people that share great information with me. @catchingepic amazing van! @JarrodTocci you voice and style are remarkable :) Question: would you do the Brava again? It seemed you went to a lot of work making the electrical system support it. I read on their site that they don't recommend under counter but you have it on a slide for venting so that likely works just fine! I am considering Nomadic for a build. As a westcoast Canadian the currency conversion pushes my budget a bit hard.
Lotta nice gear here! I wish they would have tucked a cubby for the toilet to have a better shower experience and it can go into 1 part of that bench. Also what is the water capacity? Seems they extended on many things yet not sure on the rest but nice build of course he went to the best!! Ideas for me but so thanks for showing it!!
Yeah the cubby setups are nice but it really doesn’t get in the way for the short time when using the shower. The space the cubby would’ve taken is more valuable as all the time storage.
@@catchingepic PIt made a difference to me so I do want it in My build but I have a different set up so incinerating toilet as well as a recirc shower.

We have 3 overhead cabinets above the bed on each side for clothes, plus the rooftop box that's bigger than a few home dressers. Plus 4 additional overhead cabinets and a slide out pantry for food-not to mention the refrigerator. Kitchen items are in the 8 drawers below the galley countertop. Trash can and cleaning products under the sink. We even have a laundry chute with a removable bag in it. Additional storage under the bench, overhead shelf of the cab, and in side cubbies in the garage - we have MORE than enough space.
Love that they got exactly what they wanted in their van, with the exception of I wish that exotic vulnerable/rare/endangered/threatened woods wouldn’t be used. They seem like a great couple, and this was a great tour!
Out of respect to the client I did not ask. I know so many want to know but we have to respect those that don’t want to share. This is why I ask brand names and give the builders name because if someone really wants to know they can look up the products and contact the builder to get an estimate.
Theboointnof the video is to give information. Saying not cheapmdoes not help the viewer. For future videos askndielrect question, like " what was the cist" this will give the audience true information for their own build. 🎉
We chose the 4” less in width of a Sprinter vs a Promaster to gain the extra 3’ in length over the longest Promaster. Plus putting that much weight in the back of a front wheel drive Promaster wouldn’t work for where we want to go.
I know it's common to not want to ask prices, but like... look, I want to know. I get if I have to ask, I can't afford it, but like... even if I had a six figure income, I probably couldn't afford it THEN either so... humor me? xD
Consider this. It’s respect, and change of pricing. Once anyone says a price of anything then it’s locked into what this video says. Let’s say some someone watches video in 6-12 months. Look at all the things that could change in price, bumpers, suspension, roof rack, power system, solar panels, LABOR, windows, appliances, even price of wood changes. ALL of those things go into an estimate when a professional builds on a van. I also don’t share to respect the client that, in most cases don’t want to share the price. This is also why I ask the brand of products so the person watching can look up all the products and do their own homework. This is also why I started posting videos on why vans cost what they do. Maybe you’ve watched them but I’m trying to help educate those on van pricing. Including the van this total van and build is probably north of 200k but south of 300k
It’s between 200-400k 😉 if you’re truly interested then I’d say look up the parts I asked about and contact the builder for an estimate and add the cost of a van. You’ll have a better understanding of what all vans cost
@@JarrodTocci i’ve watched enough of your videos over the years (especially the ones where you break down online listings) to have a pretty good idea lol my guess for this one would be slightly under; i just enjoy trying to set the lines for over/unders
Didn’t forget. I asked the customer and some don’t like talking about price. Some of the builders I’ve shown have talked price many times. A custom van will cost $80-200k depending on what you want. That’s a wide range because there are that many options. It’s hard to gauge what a custom van will cost off one van. It’s also hard to gauge what a diy van will cost too. That’s why I ask product names so the person can look up what each item is and determine how much and how difficult it might be to install or build. Lastly time is a value as well and something to consider
@@karenpsrsons1596It could… but we wanted something that will get us somewhere off-road and off the beaten path. That allows us better maneuverability and put our bikes safely inside. That can go farther, and give us better mileage and performance. That isn’t made of cheap materials and lesser components. So instead, it put us into exactly what WE wanted.
Incinerator toilet is the way to go with a mini indoor fire box to heat the van and panoramic day night surveillance camera system on the roof. Might as well go with Armour plating, bullet proof glass and run flat tires, when you show you have money, expect the undesirables wanting to rob you at gun point…
All I can say is WOW!!!! I would absolutely love to live in this rig I mean I am not at all surprised with the amazing and beautiful woodworking that Mark did (along with his entire team that also need major shout outs) but all the storage put in all the nooks and crannies, and I really wish he would have given a ballpark figure for cost because I'm very curious but also know probably well over $130,000.00. Thanks again Jarrod for another amazing tour! 🚐

I'm sure you meant to say that you don't know if anyone could top them.
Who did the Exterior Wrap?
A company in Portland, OR - through Nomadik Customs
@@catchingepic Are you saying that I should ask Nomadik Customs, or do you know who did the Exterior Wrap?
@@tomchan2901 I don’t know the company. Nomadik handled it.
We will soon see vans with washing machine/dryer/dishwasher….
A GREAT van!!! But it is WAY over it's GVWR. Wonder why they didn't build it on a 3500HD Sprinter?
total cost?
Sheesh, what a dream van! Ballpark $ range, how much are we talking?
100-200k not including van
Very narrow compared to a Promaster
We chose the 4” less in width of a Sprinter vs a Promaster to gain the extra 3’ in length over the longest Promaster. Plus putting that much weight in the back of a front wheel drive Promaster wouldn’t work for where we want to go.
Seems like Promaster = widest, Transit = tallest, Sprinter = longest. Pick your poison😃
Jarrod,Let people talk,please✌️👍
Are they saying “brava” cook system? Anyone, please?
Yes. If you look up brava cooking then it should come right up
Cute*
What's the electricity...did I miss it?
630ah of Lithionics (12v system)
What would you guess this total build is?
Build plus van probably over 200k
Where do their kids go?
Who said they had any
over/under 300k?
It’s between 200-400k 😉 if you’re truly interested then I’d say look up the parts I asked about and contact the builder for an estimate and add the cost of a van. You’ll have a better understanding of what all vans cost
@@JarrodTocci i’ve watched enough of your videos over the years (especially the ones where you break down online listings) to have a pretty good idea lol my guess for this one would be slightly under; i just enjoy trying to set the lines for over/unders
I'd say 170K plus the van, to include all the exterior upgrades
How heavy is it?
Not sure you saw in the video but I asked and he didn’t want to share. I respect anyone not wanting to share any details with the public
@@JarrodTocci I see...
Shame he to afraid to tell us how much it cost to build the camper van. It help us decide should we go from Pre-made or Custom.

Honestly if it doesn't have a bed lift you better off living in a car
Yeah, the kitchen, large bed, table, full bathroom, internet, solar, ability to standup and walk around in isn’t that important for a live in vehicle.
😂🤣
😂
Spending that much could put you in a nice, spacious class A or Suoer C.
@@karenpsrsons1596It could… but we wanted something that will get us somewhere off-road and off the beaten path. That allows us better maneuverability and put our bikes safely inside. That can go farther, and give us better mileage and performance. That isn’t made of cheap materials and lesser components. So instead, it put us into exactly what WE wanted.
there's a way to film conversion builds that isn't torture for the audience...this is not that way
It’s my style and I’ve been doing it that way for 200 tours 🤷🏻♂️ to each their own
Incinerator toilet is the way to go with a mini indoor fire box to heat the van and panoramic day night surveillance camera system on the roof.
