Lovely to see the cobbles, they’ve lasted longer than the tarmac roads.

It is an odd subject, but important to document before they disappear.
      Take Care.

Glad to see some streets have retained the cobbles/sets. My grandfather told me these streets would have a larger cobble laid at the pavement side on a hill so the horses/carts could rest a wheel to give the horse a break. Particularly good on frozen streets.

I was happy to see Mortimer Row included... one of the best-preserved examples of Bygone Bradford outside of Thornton.

I had one cobble from there at my house in Spain, as a Bradford's souvenir. 10 years ago I picked it from a pile of them.

My sister lived on spring gardens when I was a kid I do remember a long iron bridge with wooden sleepers over a railway not that far away from spring gardens,I could be wrong I was only a kid ,

@@rockysubhan8281 You’re right. The bridge was not far from the garage that maintained the ice cream vans. City centre end of Midland Road. Me and my twin used to play near the bridge. Stopped going near it after the gypsy’s moved on to land next to it.
