    • @davidpearn5925

      Because the Jeep has driver controls that the latest Tesla (Highland) hasn’t. Don’t buy a Tesla without test driving the update first……you might be shocked at the cost savings they made.

    • @drxym
      @drxym 8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't know where you live but there are some EVs that undercut the Model 3. I have an MG4 which is about 7-8000 euro cheaper and it drives remarkably well. I do think that some of these European manufactured EVs are too expensive though, dangerously close to the cost of a Tesla and from a software perspective ain't so great. I think however this Jeep has a way better cabin as do most other Euro cars. Tesla is removing buttons, dials and stalks and it has the reached the point that it impacts safety and driver convenience.

    My ec4 broke down a three weeks ago and the garage still have it. They’re not 100% sure why it happened and neither are Citroen uk or stellantis. I had the dreaded “electric traction system fault” where the car decides it doesn’t want to be a car anymore, it turned itself off on the motorway, luckily I was able to roll it to the hard shoulder where it put itself in park and that was that. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I have a vitara hybrid as a courtesy car! I had a look around and sit in the car at Fully Charged live. I think it's great. We don't all want an electric SUV bus. It's the perfect size for those who don't have (or want!) 2.4 children. We need more small electric cars so good on Stellantis for sticking their neck out.
    On pricing, well I'd say the Volvo EX30 and Smart #1 would be stiff competition.

    Boy, did I sure learn a lot about Stalantis, Britton, and Europe as a group that I did not know before this review.
    First, Europe, in particular Poland, have great schools for engineering. I say that because Stalantis is still not able to make an electric vehicle in the USA. So let's give credit where credit is due.
    Next of course is the ability to build such a nice car. Stalantis is not able to make electric cars or trucks in the US, I assume they just are unable to design such a facility. Again credit to the European schools as it seems they can.
    I noted the battery was a bit in the small side and no range was mentioned. I assume it has a range my calculations on a napkin pad, as I did not go to school in Europe , would give the car only 150 to 170 miles. Which is shorter than that of even the Chevy Bolt.
    As you can tell I cannot really design cars either. I would bet though if you could design the car with 75k to 80k battery you could sell the Avenger in the US and not have it sit with the rest of the 344 days of inventory.
    It appears we can't sell cars in the US well either.

    With this and all the another "independent" car reviews yt channels are really showing their true colours. Way to go avoiding all the negative points especially given that its an ev. This channel is probably the worst offender by far.
    Talking of paid shills ... a fun party game to emphasise my point ... drink a shot everytime they name a stellantis group car. 🎉🎉🎉

      Paid. What a laugh.
      Considering you’ve never driven it how would you know?
      As for mentioning the other cars, considering they have the same platform it’s an obvious comparison! 🤦‍♂️
      We compared the Born with the ID3. Does that make me a paid VW shill too? 😄
      Fella, the earth ain’t flat!
