The fruit from the cacti leaves (nopales) are called “tunas”. So grateful my family and I ate this food while growing up. You can grow one in your yard! The taste/texture is a slimy, acidic, vinegary taste. We used to eat it heated with beans, then have the tunas for dessert. Your one stop-shop plant.

I love how at a random point in the video there’s an image of a trichocereus cacti( psychoactive due to high mescaline content) with a bite taken from the top. Edible and hallucinogenic. 🌵🌈

If you’re keto or Omad, make some slow cooked chili with both ground beef and whole cuts of beef, put it over chargrilled and long sliced nopales and put some fried eggs and sour cream on top of that. You’ll thank me later.

Eating the pads of opuntia and "cactus apples" is indeed recommended , but consuming some cacti shown is not recommended . They contain hallucinogens and toxic chemicals .

Spineless "Opuntia ficus Indica", best, most commonly used type. The "san Pedro" also shown.. more consumed as medicine, spiritual enlightenment, and getting tripping high.

Well be carefully pick the right cactus some can be lethal as in poison if you do not know what cactus to eat in the desert. When starting a fire you can't grab random cactus that is dry up either which cause poison into the food.

If this vid was stolen nearly word or word from another content creator, I can't imagine how many other vids rip off other content creators. Absolutely disgusting!
