$7,830,000 worth of underpayments, that’s completely ridiculous to claim as as an ‘accident’, he said he had 550 staff in this interview, 515 is the number of people underpaid (that’s on the public record) sadly 515 is not 49% of 550, sorry George lies are not the path to forgiveness.
    Kyrie eleison.

I like George but have had unpleasant experiences in his restaurants. I didn’t want it be like this but I got the feeling that he was just after the money. I had a surprise 40th at one of his restaurants in Kew. My wife organised it. I didn’t know much about it. During the event the manager came up to me and my wife and she told us that George is sitting downstairs eating dinner if you want him to come upstairs for an appearance it will cost $10k. We politely declined. We didn’t expect to see him but even if he wanted to come upstairs and promote himself and his business to spread the “Love” like he says his folks had taught him. I don’t think so.

pathetic 7million isn't something that can go down as an "accounting error." Who does he take the australian public for? then hiding behind "racism." Absolute slimeball.

Racism cuts all ways, e.g. 'skip bashing', then the 'skip' grows up hating people of the variety that bashed them; rinse and repeat, instead of loving each other.

Oh it all happened because Australia is racist? Ok George. Podcast got switched off right at that moment.

    George!
Your absolutely right! I , I’m in my late 50s , I remember as a child , my parents had a take away on parramatta road , stanmore in the late 1970s when I was just a little boy!
Their food was so good ! They had the best steak burgers around and people would eat on the side walk sitting on the old milk crates!
Now councils fuuu you up for everything
It’s so tuff to make money on food,
Very proud of and for you!

For a Hellene I would have thought he’d be more familiar with the story of Icarus…
I do agree he was a tall poppy that got posterised… and his ethnicity was a factor because a lot of other big chefs haven’t been…
But he sold his staff the dream working 70 - 80 a week for crap money… and he was taking the piss…

Papua New Guinea has repealed its controversial Sorcery Act but has expanded its use of the death penalty. Under legislation passed in parliament on Tuesday, killings linked to allegations of witchcraft will now be treated as #murder.
