Our Lady of Guadalupe
On December of 1531 a series of Marian apparitions occurred that changed the world as we know it. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to a middle-aged man named Juan Diego at the climax of civil unrest in present-day Mexico. Our Blessed Mother’s providential intervention not only thwarted blood shed but in effect brought about the greatest evangelization event in Christian history!

The Aztecs sacrificed thousands, but the story of the 80,000 sacrifices in 4 days is questionable and it is believed to have been an exaggeration told by the Spanish conquistadors.

I hope you did not skip the part about Juan Diego's uncle(?) who got sick so JD was not able meet Mary on the 4th day.
Feeling sorry and ashamed, JD decided to travel a different route on the 5th(?) day to avoid meeting Mary, but Mary intercepted him and chided JD for not asking her for help re his uncle's sickness. "Why did you not come to me for recourse? Am I not your Mother?"/
He skip so many things on the story. It was not the second day where he tookthe cactus. Tere were multiple attemota. The bishop simply did not believe Juan Diego.
Juan Diego also took a detour so not to meet the our lady . His uncle asked him to fetch a priest because his health has been worsening.

I can't imagine having the Almighty God as my Lord, the Savior of my eternal soul, my heavenly Father and Creator of all matter in my life and finding a need to ask ANYONE (dead or alive) to be the "middle man" between us. As if Jesus said for us to do so in the Bible. Like God needs a translator because one sinner is more 'holy' than the next. The Word of God is the final word and eternal. Confession to a man is a scam and only use is for control. You're not 'praying to Mary, Guadeloupe, Michael etc.'.... You're literally communing with demons & Satan himself.

Be aware of deceptive spirits for they will deceive many (1 Timothy 4:1/2 Corinthians 11:13-15 and many more). The Lord is good and very much alive and He is the one who takes care of His children. He doesn't need "saints" nor Mary who is dead to build a close relationship with the people who would hear and listen to His voice. God and God only is Holy. Angels fly around his throne singing "holy holy holy" (Revelation 4:8-11)
The Bible is very clear and Jesus said that we need to study the Scriptures for they testify of Him. By the Law and the Testimony only (Isaiah 8:20)

We honour the image of our blessed mother, the mother of Jesus. We do not worship statues, they are images of people we know are holy. Do you have photos of your family at home? You do not worship them in the photo but remember them, especially those who have died

The Virgin Mary has brought Jesus and the Catholic faith to the Mexican people.
She brings salvation by bringing us Jesus. People have free will so that love is possible. What do I mean?
Think about a kidnapper. A kidnapper could kidnap someone and force them to kiss them and hug them and say nice things to them and do all the things one does to another when they love them. But because it’s not by their own free will, it’s not real love.
God doesn’t force us to love him and he doesn’t force salvation onto us. He isn’t going to force someone to be in his presence aka heaven. Because if we didn’t have a choice then our actions are neither good nor bad and the culpability is not on our heads. So where do people go when they choose to not be with God? They go to a place absent of God.
He gives us a choice. We get to choose ‘God’ or ‘not God’. And that’s what sin is. Sin is us choosing ‘not God’.
We are saved by the grace and mercy of God. We don’t make it to heaven by our own righteousness or by our good deeds outweighing our bad deeds. Those are Buddhist and Muslim ideas. To get into heaven you have to be perfect, which none of us are. The penalty for sin is death, that’s why Jesus was the only one who’s death would count for all of ours since he was sinless and since he is God, he is infinite. So he died in our place and his one death counts for an infinite number of people. He died so that we might have eternal life.
But as I said earlier he is not going to force salvation on to us. If we want to choose ‘not God’ and not be in his presence then he will allow it. We have to choose God and allow him to save us and work in our lives. And that’s not just by saying the right things but also DOING the right things and that is how we choose God. And that’s how we are saved.
Don’t blame God or his mother for the choices of men.
