I know this may sound far fetched, but I believe, when I was in one of my darkest and most grievous moments, after the death of my husband, and when I was contemplating whether our Lord had abandon me, I saw my guardian angel standing behind and a little above me for a mere second. He or she did not seem to have gender but appeared spirit-like, not solid. He or she did not have wings but did have some type of robe and much light emanating from him/her. It may have been a nanosecond, but as I blinked to focus, he/she was gone. This may sound crazy to others but was very profound to me. There was no malice, nothing said, only a feeling of comfort and reassurance.
Angels are spiritual beings. They don't have gender, cause they don't have the need to reproduce, like us human beings.

I believe you. I think I saw an angel in my room a few months ago. I’ve been struggling with anxiety and healing from two surgeries. I felt peace. 🙏❤️ Praise God he has healed me of anxiety and I’m a lot more peaceful now.
Angels are SPIRIT BEINGS. Scripture DEPICTS angels as if they were MALE.
Every reference to angels in Scripture is in the MASCULINE gender. The Greek word for “angel” in the New Testament, angelos, is in the MASCULINE form, a FEMININE form of (angelos), DOES NOT exist.
When angels appeared, they were always DRESSED as human MALES.
In the MANY appearances of angels in the Bible, NEVER is an angel referred to as “SHE" or “it.”
7 Archangels, 7 seals, 7 vials, 7 trumpets,7 plagues, 7 deadly sins...7 days of the week... no one noticed how the number 7 keeps coming back?
You also forgive and think 7,777. 7 is God's number

Also the number 3 is amongst religious scripture and in other religions.
Please pray for me and my children. I’m so discouraged. I’ve had people come against me that do not know me. And say my testimony isn’t real!! But OUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS the truth and my heart! Prayers are all I truly NEED. Jesus hear my prayers. I still trust in you and will keep my faith even though it is so very difficult at this time. I’m constantly faced with hardships and can barely support myself and my two sons after losing my job for declining the vaccine. LIKE MANY OTHERS! I’m a single mom and I’m discouraged. Both of my children are autistic. I am working so please don’t pity me. I’m just not making enough to get by. I know God doesn’t give us more than we can handle I will keep faith even though I truly want to give up. Jesus hear my prayers and keep me and my kids safe. ❤

Come away from those who reject you and commit evil and understand that the people have their own personal free choice and free will and the only way that they are able to come to God is through their own choice.
Of course keep up with the message of God just understand that certain people are going to try to persecute you for your faith but forgive them and come away from them and pray for them and trust in God in everything in your life

I’m 73 .. went to Catholic schools .. we were taught much and our schools were steeped in Catholicism (which was good).., but we were never taught any of this.. everything was generalised! This is fascinating!!

I, too, am 73, and I received a wealth of info about angels from the nuns who taught me.
I'm 73 and my late wife and I were baptised Catholic in the year 2000 it's been an enriched spiritual journey and we involved ourselves in the many prayer devotions that the Catholic Church has (Rosary Stations of the cross Divine Mercy etc) to build faith and understanding with Jesus Mary the saints and all the Holy angels of the Heavenly Kingdom During the month of September my late wife and I would honour and venerate the Holy angels of the Heavenly beginning with Day 1 'Jesus Head of the Angels' Jesus is head of the angels as well as men and it is as man that Jesus is head of the angels The first day is an introduction to the angels and the origins and creation of their existence so much knowledge on day 1 which ends with a prayer 'Blood of Jesus precious blood'....The final day day 30 is 'Mary Queen of angels' which opens with the prayer 'O my Heavenly Queen' and ends with the prayer 'Prayer of love to the Queen of angels' The whole month is filled with knowledge prayer novenas litanys the nine choirs of angels the 3 archangels the hierarchy the nature and function of the angels your duties towards your own guardian angel angels at the hour of death even the spirits of darkness and where they reside so much knowledge and information
@@mariel9385 My nuns must have been lazy .... don’t know 🤷♀️ we concentrated on parables and Biblical stories and retreats and benediction every Friday.., it’s a little weird that we had 2 different experiences but I honestly do not recall learning much of this.. we did discuss “guardian angels” but se didn’t do any of what Dr Taylor was talking about here… I was taught be the Sisters by of Mercy in both primary and secondary schools.., I also had a v heavy school work
Load and whilst we said prayers before and after each lesson and wrote OMDG on every page.. in secondary school there was v not a v lot of time for religious education per se.. that’s just how it was.. there was a church , a lovely little church called St Michaels attached to my primary school
And a big cathedral , St Brigid’s attached to my high school., and a big boys college as well where De Le Salle Brothers taught.. and we were not short of anything but we didn’t cover this aspect

My Catholicism was more constant prayer 🙏🏻 before and after every lesson, in primary school we spent time preparing first for confession, then communion, then confirmation… that was a lot of time out of a school day.. we had a lovely little church, St Michael’s attached to the school (where I
Later got married) and we cld visit any time we wanted.
I had to walk a long way to school (my parents didn’t have a car) but in primary school I wld make Novenas of communion and mass , or Benediction, sometimes 9 days straight and sometimes first Friday of the month., in those days you had to fast from midnight to take communion and I can remember fainting at the Altar rails on 2 occasions at 6 am mass, coz I had to walk to and from the church, come home have breakfast and go walk back to school ., which was about 40 minutes either way…
The nuns were great educators but did use the cane., I always wore a scapula. I was v devout.. but high school was v different.
There was a re-organisation of schools and I had to go to a new school, St Brigid’s and catch a bus.. it was huge and also had a big boys De La Salle college attached . There was a cathedral and every Friday the boys and girls wld go either to benediction on Friday or Mass.. the girls wld fill up the left side of the church and the boys on the right side.
We said prayers Before and after lessons but we were not taught a lot of “religion”., it was more about living the faith
We still said a prayer before and after each lesson and wrote OMDG on every page but the curriculum had changed allowing girls to learn science, physics and chemistry and we were the first year of it., in fact the 8 of us who did it were escorted to the boys school as they had a laboratory set up and the girls school didn’t.. and the nun wld sit quietly at the back whilst we had our lessons.. I was going French, LATIN, Science, Chemistry,Physics, Math I and II, History and English Literature., plus sports .. we did not have religious “lessons” in high school at all.. there simply was no time left and we had received all the sacraments by high school.. we went on 3 day retreats every six months, had prayers b4 and after lessons and mass/benediction every Friday plus we were allowed to go to confession in the cathedral at nominated times.. so high school was more about practising our faith rather than learning more of the Bible ., if that makes sense.
So being baptised as birth and raised in Catholicism and catholic schools is v different to converting I think.. ..
After Vatican 2 I lost interest . For various reasons..in God and the sacraments.. Catholicism .. not God, is a v long and difficult road.
Anyhow I’m pleased to learn that I have soo much still to learn and will start watching these angel/levels of hell videos.. may God always be with you and stay strong in your faith 🌸🌸

The 7 archangels are NOT just one step from the bottom they are actually the highest ranking angels and are Cherubim and some are also in the order of the Seraphim. Most get this topic of angels wrong, and no, “who is like God” is not saying that Michael is like God it’s asking the question “who is like God”, and the answer is NO ONE!

In Manila, Philippines, there is a beautiful Catholic church called San Miguel Pro-Cathedral. This church has a permanent chapel annexed to the church for the 24/7 adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Inside the cathedral are magnificent stain-glass windows each depicting an archangel, all seven of them. Devotional pamphlets are provided to visitors at the door. It is a very holy place and is located a few blocks away from the President's Palace called Malacanang. I visited there and in the adoration chapel St Michael appeared and he showed me how he worships the Blessed Sacrament. I have since striven to worship the Blessed Sacrament with the same reverence.
When my mother was a student at Santo Tomas, she and the other students used to go to the church in Quiapo which has the Black Jesus

Consequently bright concentrated light beams were easily mistaken for "wings". Nothing more and nothing less!
A few years ago I was just sitting on my sofa and was "visited" by Uriel.I was let know this was Uriel. I kept trying to look at him, but every time I tried to look at him there was so much beauty I burst into tears.I couldn't see him because there was so much light and beauty.I don't know anything about him. but I looked him up and he is associated with the Russian Orthodox church.

I seen my first angel when I was only 4 years old.(I'm now just about 57) And afterwards throughout my life God sent different ones to my dreams. The last dream was of the archangel Michael. Thank you Dr. Taylor Marshall. I’ve read Esdras and found his conversation with the Archangel Uriel very fascinating. He demonstrated how truly limited we are in knowledge and understanding.
I remember a few weeks ago I was leaving work, and I like too ride my mountain bike to work as I was approaching the bike rack there is a metal picnic table right beside it, and at that table sat a young gentleman reading the bible, as I was unlocking my bicycle I just happen to glance over at him, and he looked right at me with his big blues eye's and a slight smile on his face as if to say everything is going to be ok, and I have never ever seen anybody sit there in all the time that I have worked there, and after that day I never seen him again, and I have been going through a rough time in my life starting over and other things, also been seeing synchronicity numbers every where to, strangely enough.

MrDave4464 Yes I believe you. My own experiences have shown me the angels are around/with us always. Very shortened story... while in art school (college nyc) my 1st yr sculpture class, that semester project was plaster sculpture we were to be graded on. The last day bf a holiday weekend I debated to bring home my sculpture (bc I had to ride bus and subway) or leave it in a cabinet locked up. As I stood alone (NO ONE near me in the class) a voice so perfect and clear right by my ear said “if you don’t bring it home it will get STOLEN”. Well that really got my attention and I went over to a friend to mention this but she didn’t seem to think it was a concern.
Well sadly, I left it locked up and upon return days later we went to the cabinet to retrieve our projects and mine was GONE!
Was beside myself distraught and when I questioned the instructor about who had access to a locked cabinet etc... he blew me off and I knew then it was him who stole it.
I should have listened to what I believe was my Guardian Angel.

my religion teacher told us before that Lucifer was a Seraphim, but Michael defeated him because of the grace of God given to Michael.
I have read that Lucifer was a Cherubum as well as a Serephum to. Who knows!. I always thought that he was just an Archangel, previous to his fall.

I have recently started praying the St. Michael Chaplet Rosary as well as the Rosary. I highly recommend this Chaplet. I hope Dr. Taylor does a video on this Chaplet.

So it's not through Michael the archangel...one thing more, there's no such command or preaching in the bible that praying is done through rosary... please read the Bible and ask the guidance of the holy spirit for you to understand the context...

No one using a rosary or chaplet ESP a st Michael chaplet is going to anyone but the lord our God. I’ve never said so many our father prayers in my life before becoming catholic. Yes we know the Bible. The Bible comes from the Catholic Church. And yes we are know the holy spirit, we pray in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit with each prayer.

Had an office coworker who had 7 sons & a daughter in 8 years. She named the boys after the 7 archangels. IDK where she got the names. Scripture only named 3.

Always wondered how an angel got to be called a Saint. We humans have to become very Holy and meet certain requirements to have that honor bestowed upon us while the angels have no such battles to endure.
They endured that battle. The losers are demons and were cast into Hell by the Archangel Michael.
I think it's based on the principle that no one is in heaven , unless they be SAINTS , even the obedient angels who never sinned when tested about whether or not to serve God. They remained faithful and remained confirmed in grace. Their grace , and the graces WE receive are all from God's immeasurable goodness that produces saints.
Angels are not saints and cannot be. The ancient Hebrews/Israelites knew this. Study this in Paleo-Hebrew and you will learn the truth. Study it in modern Hebrew and you will get lost, just as you will with modern Christian canon scriptures/bibles, as they pull their canons from Rabbinical Judaism, which turns Torah upside down and against itself, deceiving the masses. Be careful of those scriptures. Read Rev 2:9 and Rev 3:9, as our Messiah tells us who to look out for. Yah bless!

What do you use to study the old Hebrew? Is there an online interlinear version that doesn't use the masoretic?
I have a new testament Aramaic/ English Bible based on the dead sea scrolls. But I don't know of a version with the old testament.
The ban on using Angel names would seem to be a Western thing. We don't "name" Angels in the Greek-Catholic Churches (they have their own names, we lack authority to rename something already named by God) nor do we refer to our own Angels by name ("Angel of Christ, my holy guardian, save me, thy sinful servant", etc.), but we don't seem to be nearly as restrictive as the Latin-Catholic Church in regards to those angels whose names are publically known.

We are the ending part of satans little time following the reign which they labeled the dark ages. Go see what was deal during the dark ages. It’s simply incredible to believe such magnificence was constructed during so-called dark ages, which coincidentally had 1000 years with no wars. That was the reign of Christ it happened.

That's some intriguing info - thanks. There is a 1968 music album by jazz guitarist Pat Martino titled 'Baiyina'. One of the tunes is called 'ISRAFEL' which i believe is from a poem by Edgar Allen Poe. Israfel makes me uncomfortable since the name appears to be derived from the Koran & not holy scripture.
Dr Marshall I have had 2 experiences with my Guardian Angel. I treasure those memories more than I can say. I know they are to help us. Can you discuss or help us understand why so many innocents, our little children all over the world, are used for demonic practices? Where are their angels? I know our Lord loves the little ones and we are to protect them. People are just now waking up to the horrors these little ones are and have been subjected to. Please help us understand this.

I was raised by a Southern Baptist Mother and a Lutheran Father and I went to a Catholic School operated by Benedictine Priests and Nuns. I Loved the Conservative Lutheran Religion however I subscribe to no formal Religion because I understand that only Christ is The Way The Truth And The Light. Our Heavenly Father commands us to Himself through the Holy Trinity and to Worship none other. I thank you for the information you present here as we are all learning or, should be every day.
You are correct when you state that the only way to salvation is through Jesus. As catholics we believe this also. However I urge you to explore the graces we receive through our receiving the body, blood, soul and divinity of our lord as he constituted in the last supper.

Excellent video, I love the anegology. Dr. Marshall, I would like to know your opinion about the archangel Samael. There is an ambiguity about his good and bad nature. Many say that he is a fallen angel, while others say that he is the one who distributes God's punishment.
There's 7 good princes and this one isn't on the list. His name may end in el but I'd stick to big ones, net and most people lie, I only need Bible and Enoch text for this personally. I can say which princes are which kind of angel
It's my understanding he is the prince of the underworld. Of course Father Yahweh made all the spiritual beings both good and evil. So they are all instruments of His Holy Hand whether they are fallen or not.

An excellent synopsis on the 7 Archangels. When studying Judaism at the Yeshiva some 55 years ago (my intention was to convert to the Jewish faith as Vatican II had been introduced and I hated it) I remember learning the Night Prayers in Hebrew which from memory went something like this: May Michael guard above you, Gabriel to the right of you, Raphael to the left of you and URIEL beneath you (or words to that effect. I cannot remember the precise text now after 55 years and that was the first I had ever heard of URIEL. I could not understand why URIEL was never mentioned by the Catholic Church but your explanation has explained things to me. Many thanks indeed.
Because only Gabriel, Raphael and Michael are mentioned in Holy Scripture.

The Bible used to include the book of Enoch book of jubilee and book of esdra among other apocryphal texts. They may still be considered scripture to the faith of Judaism.

Can our guardian angel hear our silent prayers? I believe the fallen angels can't read our thoughts.
Father Chad Ripperger, an exorcist priest, has mentioned that the fallen angels can't read our minds only God can, although they can try to attack the faculties of the mind based on what they have learned about you including what you have said like memories you have mentioned etc. They always try to get at the mind. You should also read Ripperger's book called Dominion. It really dives down into the not just the angelic hierarchy but also the angelic nature of them.
I think the key element is WHO YOU ADDRESS in your thoughts . The evil one and his followers can't "listen in" unless invited ! Your line is secure. Also our guardian angels have the office , liscensed by the Almighty , to insulate us from evil interference , so activate your angel by ASKING for that favor before praying . Peace be with you. and P.S. : This is why i cringe so badly whenever Jesus's name is taken in vain ! To gain His ear , then say nothing to Him , is such a sorrowful blasphemy.
@mark dettra You're right our guardian angels can fight back and win against the demons. They are way stronger than the demons are. That is also why Father Ripperger and Father Lampert always encouraged people to call upon their guardian angel when trying to avoid temptation that leads into the sin itself. I know what you mean when they say it like that breaking the second commandment. It's so disrespectful to the Lord. It's sad when people have gone like that and don't think about how it displeases the Lord. I've heard it so many times that I've lost count in the crazy world we live in.

These are the only names mentioned in scriptures so we are supposed to refer to these ones only. St Raphael however says he's one of 7 (in Tobit)but doesn't say who the others are.

@@shereen305 sounds a little like sola scriptura to me from the three Popes mentioned. Ha ha!. I don't think there is anything wrong with having devotions to the others mentioned in the Orthodox tradition. Just don't go worshiping them, like the gnostics did.

We went to a monastery when I was in college and I find out that my birth month archangel is Uriel.. since then I included Archangel Uriel in all my prayers in life

Glad you made this video. I recently did read Enoch in the past year, and it is very interesting. Since I am a revert to the Church, I will have to catch up on some reading such as Tobit. Just wondering why the Gk Orthodox would have different names mentioned for the last three Archangels than what is written in Enoch and the Ethiopian manuscripts. Nevertheless, at least we have something that very well could match what is being referred to as the seven angels in Revelation. Thanks again for all you do, Dr. Marshall.

Maybe I can help, I'm Greek Orthodox. My understanding is that names of the 7 Archangels is the same as those listed in Enoch chap 20. In another Orthodox text I noted only 1difference, that of Saraqael being listed as Sariel but doing the same job duties. I suspect based upon my own research that the Angel Remiel replaced Lucifer after his fall.

Given what we’ve seen recently with popes, I’d be curious to know what was happening societally and politically in the 1830’s. What did those popes know and was the intention to protect the people or protect the “elite” of the time. One must wonder.
Very interesting content. I do wonder about Angels being more than spirits as some or maybe most of them have the ability to be physical. For example, Angels being able to eat food (see Sodom and Gomorrah) and wrestle with Jacob through the night. Also, the sons of God took the daughters of men as mentioned in Geneis Ch.6. To me, it seems they were able to manifest physically. Perhaps it is something like a Glorified Body or in their case an Angelic body.
I believe that's right. We could be speaking with an angel and not know. They can appear to us looking like a human.
