  • Please note that these inverters are not permanently installed and are set up in a temporary testing environment.
    Also, the inverter from AliExpress does not come with the heat sinks. I added them and it does help with hot climate performance, but not enough to outperform the WVC inverter.

    Enphase is the best quality micro inverter with IQ7 or newer IQ8. Great warranty, and customer service as well 😊

    Good afternoon, can you tell me how to reset a micro-inverter WVC-800W-Life to factory settings? Reset WIFI settings?
    There is no reset button and I can’t log into the app.

    It's literally the same inverters, same factory, different sellers.

      Thanks for the comment. Perhaps the inverters are built in the same factory but they definitely have different components and performance

    4 years ago I get 4 pcs. WVC-1200 from Aliexpress but they only works about 6 month. Try to fix them but have to trash them all and change to string inverter. Very bad mosfet but even change they burn soon again. I think only for cold clima.

      Interesting. All four units failed within 6-months? What was the peak sustained watts were you pushing through them usually daily at high sun?
      I find the cheap Chinese stuff is best run at most ~67% of their rated power or even lower. Then really gotta watch the heat.

      Thank you for the comment. What is the average high temperature where you live? Where I live it regularly reaches 100* F during the day from July to September, and I have had the same inverters running for 3 years now

    I don't understand this video, the one, the MaySun-1200W with a lower temperature is not recommended. The one the WVC1200 has a higer temperature and is recommended. My physics tell me that the one with the highest loss normally has the highest temperature, and that one should not be recommended due to higher loss. The MaySun-1200W has extra cooling so it may that the loss this one is higer then the WVC1200 under same conditions. If that is what the video maker means, then I understand it. The fact that he added extra cooling gives me the idea that initially the case temperature of that one is higher then the that of the WVC1200.
    I have a WVC1200 with an efficincy of 91% and use it at half power because the case temperature is to high at full load around 900Watt here in Mexico. I have seen other designs with more efficiency of 95% that must save quite a bit and has a drop in temperature. I would like to hear the experience about this WVC1200 of others. If you have let me know.

    This inverter can not be used in the US. Their output voltage are split voltage. It would have been a great inverter if it was 120/240 volts ouput.

    How is he using a single phase 230v inverter on a 240v split phase grid?

    • @solarpowerondemand3255
      @solarpowerondemand3255  7 месяцев назад

      Good question. Many grid tied devices just need to see 220-250V from Line to Neutral. So even though with single phase that would be L-N, with split phase you are just connecting L1 to L on the inverter and L2 to N on the inverter.

    Hi. I was thinking buying the wvc 2000 to use it with only one panel of 550 watts for now. Do you recommend this brand? I saw a couple reviews saying that they get warm pretty quick and they break down easy. Is it a good buy or not? Should i buy hoymiles or do you recommend other cheaper from aliexpress?

    • @solarpowerondemand3255
      @solarpowerondemand3255  7 месяцев назад

      Sorry for the late reply, in theory that could work, as long as the solar panel's Voc is within the input range of the inverter. It is not ideal though, because the inverter has 4 inputs and you are using 110% of one input and 0% of the other 3. A better option, as long as you can mount the inverter in a location that is protected from rain, is a string inverter like this: ebay.us/OxvikH

    This is the lowest quality inverter, the one i have has a reset button on the outside, but when i opened the case after it failed to reset i found out there is no reset button on the inside, also it doesn't have MPPT, and will never run more than 50% of its capacity, it is criminal but they are still 👎
