So wonderfully done and produced. Many thanks. One of my biggest pet peeves when watching a how-to video is being told to go to so and so, and click on so and so, but they don't actually show how they do it. You pointing it out with a nice red shape made it so easy. And understanding your philosophy on creating videos is also a big help. Again, thank you so much.
You really are a master. Nobody is nearly as thorough as you, or as high quality! Thanks so much, you've inspired me to start creating videos. They're not great, but it's a process!
Ive watched a million lumafusion tutorials and I gotta tell ya, your pace and precision without being longwinded and boring is amazing. And your ability to forecast the questions that comes up in my head is done so well that I find you telepathic and calming. OK back to learning I stopped the video because I just had to write a comment about you and your vids.
Me watching this because Lumafusion is announced to be developed on Android. Btw. As a matter of editing style, I don't like that zoom as a angle changing. I love the cinema cut without transitions.
DJI OM 4 (or OM 5, if you want the extra selfie stick extension). DJI gimbals just work in my experience, rarely any glitches. If you want more of a filmmaker gimbal, which carries more weight and has more controls, then the new Zhiyun gimbal (Smooth 5 out next week)
Wow! Awesome! You’re such an amazing tutor. Thanks to you that I’ll be having Lumafusion as my editing app. I thought it was complicated but you’ve explained so well, that anyone can use this app. Good job Simon 👏👏👏👏😍😍
Nice video, Simon. Well paced, clear examples, and good explanations. Think I’m popping over to your site and see if I can buy/download any instructional material you’ve compiled. Thanks for making things more accessible.
Thank you so much. You motivated me to try Lumafusion on my iPhone. (Where I've got space) Bought a BT Keyboard, connection was a breeze. Tried to connect my Magic Mouse 2. That did not work. Neither with your workaround. The Apple Support suggested the same workaround and then told me, they are not compatible. Anybody successful with the Magic Mouse? Anyway, I'll get a cheap one, why bother with High End expensive Apple stuff? On my iPad keyboard and Magic Mouse worked. But there I've got no space :-(
I know crazy right? I had a magic Mouse 2 as well and presumed that would be perfect for this. But then had to buy a cheap 3rd party mouse which worked... what the... thanks for watching!
What is the best devise to edit using Lumafusion? Can you give specific recommendations re: size of iPad PRO and how much memory you would recommend IF that is one you recommend?
which of these 2 is better? is there a significant performance difference if I pick option 2? option 1: iphone 13 mirror to base model iPad 9th gen or 10th gen once it comes out, Lumafusion will be launched from the iPhone 13 and not on the iPad, edit on iPad via mirror option 2: iphone 13 then airdrop the file to iPad Air 5 then launch Lumafusion in iPad air 5?
Loved the video! Just got back into Lumafusion and this was quite helpful. Now, the problem I'm running into is compressing a video to fit on Facebook. I've got a 120 meg video, but FB only takes 20 megs. Any way to do that in Lumafusion? I've tried reducing the quality etc. but it won't bring it down enough.
Very nice tutorial to be honest. I have one question for you. I see that multicam editing is available for tablets. But when I open lumafusion app on my smartphone I do not see the multicam functionality here. Is it possibility that multicam is available only on tablets (android, apple)? Thank you.
Great Video, i love it because you really focused on the Lumafusion Software and does not started the video by telling us 5 Minutes about your nice white cat. The other thing i love in that video is the tutorial at the beginning on how to connect a mouse to the Iphone. Personally i prefer to do IOS video cutting at my iPad. But there are times when there is no ipad, only a phone. And like it is mostly in life, these are the moments when you "That great idea" on how to make the video. But even if you sit at McDonalds, you can do a rough Version of your idea with your fingers at the ipone, and make the fine tune, when your are back home. WITHOUT having anything to transfer to the Ipad.
This is the video I've been looking for to help me with the editing for my video's I'm just getting use to it and this has helped me thanks you so much for making this video my friend and a big like from me 😎👍
I really like your teachings sir. Especially the knowledge you shared about short film making. I really liked every bit of the teaching. Hope I can feature in one of your movies. More love from Uganda-Africa
Hello Simon, LumaFusion for iPhone and iPad, but what do you use for editing on your Mac? I read that LumaFusion only works on an M1 Mac, as capable of running iPadOS APPs! Not wanting to upgrade perfectly working hardware, do I need to pay for Final Cut Pro for the Mac, which isn't cheap for the beginner? My question, how can I be consistent across the Apple ecosystem. Thank you. Keep up the good work as I am always learning.
I’m stuck. I’m editing a vlog for a potential RUclips video. I used my iPhone. Some of my clips are in portrait and some landscape. You can only have the Aspect ratio on one or the other so does that mean some of my clips will look odd? Is there a solution? Thank you.
@@SiHorrocks I have watched it twice front of back and the first time I watched it I kept stopping replaying and practicing what you were showing on my iPad. So it took the first round probably four times longer than what it was needed but it was very very informative
@@SiHorrocks It is by far the most helpful video I have ever seen. And being able to explain how to do some thing from the bottom up is very helpful for those of us older folks that are a little challenged. Thank you very kindly. I will have to look up your Patreon account.
Hi Simon, congrats for your videos. I am a newer in luma fusion, and I came across with a problem. When I import a video to the timeline, the colour of the video completed changed. Do you know how to sort it out?
you need to make sure the color space matches - if you're using an iPhone and shoot in Dolby Vision, you need LumaFusion to be set to the correct color space
Awesome video. Just because you don't have 2.7 million views, don't think that you don't have a very appreciative audience!
thank you Patrick! I very much appreciate my appreciative audience 🥰

Simon....a fast tip. Decrease opacity, put the clip on the previous clip and voilà you could match eyes position perfectly.

This video is the best when covering the subject of Luma Fusion for smartphones...
There are very few RUclipsrs who have that natural teaching ability. Your videos are always concise and clear for beginners and entry level creators.
Me watching this because Lumafusion is announced to be developed on Android. Btw. As a matter of editing style, I don't like that zoom as a angle changing. I love the cinema cut without transitions.
A straight jump cut?
@@SiHorrocks Yes, a simple cut. And, as an alternative, maybe my favourite is also the Star Wars slide with blurred edges
This is awesome. Not just a LumaFusion tutorial, but a basic course on editing in general.
Thank you for constantly educating us. Also quick question, what gimbal do you recommend for the iPhone 12?
