They did that bc if survivors were able to get through the hidden room, that means they had to kill the walker couple to get the key, when the walker couple asked to be left alone before they died. Wow, chills. I know many may disagree, but for me this is the best episode 1 of any series Telltale has put out. That ending...way fucked up, but it makes sense. AJ was literally born into this apocalyptic world and raised by Clementine alone, spending 90% of his whole life up until now around no one but Clem. Wasn't taught morals, social skills, that type of thing, but was instead taught survival skills--how to kill, never to trust anyone. If things don't change, he'll end up a socially-inept, nearly-unfeeling killing machine. He's already almost there (not clem's fault, though. considering the fact that she has no one to guide her in being a parent and she's learning all this on her own, improvising along the way, she's doing a good job. plus, if she didn't emphasize survival, he'd have ended up like everyone else). Excited to see how this plays out--what becomes of the group. I question whether or not they will still even allow Clem and AJ to stay after what AJ did. They could see him as a danger to the group now. Can't wait to see AJ develop into an actual human being or a cold-blooded remorseless killer by the end of this, depending on the example you set for him.

This seasons time jump from last season is 3 years at most cause this season the older kids look to be 17-18 and last season clem was 13/14. Also AJ was 2 when he was taken to the ranch.

Instead of learning reading, spelling, math, social skills, and sharing ... he had to learn basic reading, writing, math, survival, how to use a gun, and how to kill. He missed out on being a normal kid.

No social skills, no etiquette, no sense of humor, just survival mode 100% of the time. I feel bad for him. That said...he's fidna be a PROBLEM. Excellent decision making, Berleezy! I know you get a lot of grief for the choices you make in decision games, but you were undeniably solid here. Can't wait for the next one!
Jonathan Rodriguez - the difference is AJ's demons aren't all in his head - he isn't suffering from paranoid delusions, the *"monsters"* under his bed / in the dark are very much real. his own mother turned into one and tried to eat him alive, ffs - with a background like that of course he's gonna have issues *trusting ppl and feeling safe* especially when one of those ppl tries to *murder* someone he cares about... but despite all that AJ does have a *sense of humor* - judging by his interactions with Louis and he does know how to *relax* - as can be seen whenever he hangs with Tenn...it's whenever clem is threatened that sht becomes *a problem*
And you see how that could potentially be a problem, right? I mean...when you're in the position he and Clem are in, you can't just go killing people ONSIGHT and not expect it to become an issue. Even Clem doesn't do that. She knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em, whereas AJ hasn't been taught nuance. You can't blame him, since he's just a small child who really doesn't know any better, but in the zombie apocalypse, people don't care if you're age 40 or age 4 - if you're out here bodying humans like it's no big deal, you're going to get dealt with. But I'm hoping it doesn't come to that for AJ. He's got lots of potential, he just needs to be schooled.

yo when i played this episode, AJ had me hella shook when he did that shit. On my game he looked up at me and said "what? I didn't hesitate.." that shit had a big ass impact on me. Little bro looked so innocent and confused as to why we were all looking at him like that. He don't even realize what he did was wrong and thats kind of terrifying. I cant even bring myself to be mad at him because he dont even know whats wrong or right. You gotta really teach his ass and thats one of my favorite elements of this new season.
AJ 100% remembers if you let him swear or not. If you say no swearing he'll say "Shoot." if you let him swear he says "Fuck." And later on swearing plays a lot in his reactions and word choices. :) I love that about this.

Bro Clem raised AJ when she was about 11-12 like a day after he was born. And she had no idea and she was a mature grown ass women at that point lol like she had no one either for guidance and obviously no siblings or experience on how to take care of children but she did it. Clem is the bomb, I love her so much. She will always be my favorite character, but if course Lee first and then AJ after Clem. I love this series so much

Moments when the whole group is sitting at the table, like 1:03:32 is a good example, the choice he made was so real, it felt like he was experiencing a guniene moment in Clem and AJs life. in moments like that, it honestly feels like berleezy is RIGHT THERE WITH THEM. He made so many naturally good decisions, the game basically played itself and he stayed for the journey 🤙. I love you berleezy

DeepVibes - naw dude, that was the only part of their survival strategy that was *TRASH* (IMO). their group worked *more cohesively* than most of the adult groups we've seen in this game - Berleezy noticed this when the random horde of zombie's attacked the perimeter of the school - those kids were almost like a *teenaged "seal team 6"* in the field, expertly utilizing man-made traps and weapons to accomplish one goal - survival for themselves and their friends... in that scene, notice *nobody panicked* - everybody put in work because every kid had an almost absolute trust (maybe naively because of their youth) that every other kid member had their back and would never do anything to put them at risk of danger whereas, as we've seen in past seasons, *older aged camps / communities* usually get brought down by one or 2 ppl being out for themselves then *lying about it* - sacrificing overall trust for personal gain and when the trust is gone the group swiftly folds like a *house of cards...* everybody in these comments been so focused on what AJ did but how will the devastating revelation of Marlon's *HUGE betrayal* begin to break down their ability to operate as a *efficient unit* in future episodes - we'll see
You playing this game like you completely forgot that Aj was born long after the apocalypse was started, he was born in it so he wouldn't know about most things like the policeman and firefighter because he wasn't even born when they existed and was doing their jobs.
WOOOW THAT ENDING HAS ME MESSED UP SO NOW I GOTTA THEORIZE! I think this happened because of 3 reasons 1) Remember that man smoking bible cigs that held Clem at gun point? She pushed him into the walkers. Now Marlon was holding everyone at gun point so he thought that it would be ok to shoot him! Because he was putting them in danger! 2) The "Always aim for the head" thing. That was specifically for Walkers right? AJ calls walkers monsters. Maybe he was seeing Marlon as a monster because of what he did to Tenn's sisters and Brody! So he thought it was ok to shoot him! 3) Judging by the way he was acting when he and Clem first go into their rooms (He wanted to sleep on the floor and keep watch), he's been wanting to be able to protect her. He was willing to lay on the floor and watch over her. And judging by the fact that he pulled a gun on Marlon, he's willing to do anything to protect her. And since he was putting her life in danger...He shot her. Not the smartest theories but I'm too HYPED to think of anything else

If you picked Jane, she gives you a tattoo of AJ’s name on your hand I think. But it turns out she was pregnant with Luke’s baby and hangs herself, turning into a walker and leaving Clem and AJ alone. Kenny although reckless always put them first🤧
If Jane stayed alive she would be dragging Clem down. Not only needing to take care of a baby but a pregnant woman who not only would have died giving birth to that child (given Rebeccas situation) but would've left a 13 year old girl taking care of 2 babies in the apocalypse. "Selfish" though.

in that scene, notice *nobody panicked* - everybody put in work because every kid had an almost absolute trust (maybe naively because of their youth) that every other kid member had their back and would never do anything to put them at risk of danger whereas, as we've seen in past seasons, *older aged camps / communities* usually get brought down by one or 2 ppl being out for themselves then *lying about it* - sacrificing overall trust for personal gain and when the trust is gone the group swiftly folds like a *house of cards...*
everybody in these comments been so focused on what AJ did but how will the devastating revelation of Marlon's *HUGE betrayal* begin to break down their ability to operate as a *efficient unit* in future episodes - we'll see

I think this happened because of 3 reasons
1) Remember that man smoking bible cigs that held Clem at gun point? She pushed him into the walkers. Now Marlon was holding everyone at gun point so he thought that it would be ok to shoot him! Because he was putting them in danger!
2) The "Always aim for the head" thing. That was specifically for Walkers right? AJ calls walkers monsters. Maybe he was seeing Marlon as a monster because of what he did to Tenn's sisters and Brody! So he thought it was ok to shoot him!
3) Judging by the way he was acting when he and Clem first go into their rooms (He wanted to sleep on the floor and keep watch), he's been wanting to be able to protect her. He was willing to lay on the floor and watch over her. And judging by the fact that he pulled a gun on Marlon, he's willing to do anything to protect her. And since he was putting her life in danger...He shot her.

im thinking maybe they're human trafficking.. if you ever read the comics (I never watched the show but it's probably in there) there's a group/town with a sadistic leader who finds people on their own or weak people and forces them into a ring where they have to fight a hoard of zombies for everyone to watch that person die.. I mean we already got cannibals in season 1 so who's to say there's not anything more strange like this going on?? he could used people like Tenn's sisters to become doctors or something in their group
