Jeff, you are to be not only commended for your fine art but for your atelier and the dedicated staff you have. It's not common to have multiple skills such as the business acumen, the people skills as well as your artistic skills. Bravo.

thinking about her shyness about asking people to take their picture is she could whip her sketch book out and start scratching the scene out and quite possibly suck the people that she wants in by curiosity. Those people she wants as subjects could ask her to draw or paint them then. The sketch book is a great ice breaker rather than the cold calculated camera but if they see her sketching something and come over to look and they say something like, "boy, wished you could draw me." Then she could say something like, "I can't paint a picture in five minutes but I just happen to have a camera here that could capture the moment." Enticing people into her world with her craft and skill is a lot more effective then just asking if she could take their picture, I think. Most people love art and love the idea of being a subject of it. They get a kick out of it.
you said it Jeff people don't mind accommodating artists esp when they see your sketch book or easel
