  • The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT™) Center at Texas State University has trained more than 60,000 police officers nationwide in dynamic, force-on-force scenario-based active shooter response training, using more than $30 million in federal and state funding. In 2013, the FBI partnered with the ALERRT™ Center at Texas State and named ALERRT their standard for active shooter response training. The University and the Center also conduct research in active shooter trends, as well as constantly testing new methods and responses to increase the overall understanding of active shooter events.
