    “We’re busy, we’re tired, and we don’t want the hassle”

      I have gotten up to take my kid to pee in the middle of the night since he was 22 months old. At that age it was 2-3 times but he's 3.5 years old now and I still get him up to pee. I haven't slept through the night since he was born but that's parenting.

      No disrespect but I call that being lazy. The parents don't know how hard it is raising children

    • @laurenadams4624
      @laurenadams4624 3 года назад +62

      kind spirit 1991 laziness falls hand in hand with neglect, especially when it comes to parenting. I agree they don’t know how hard it is, but that’s because they have chosen to not deal with the hard stuff, all while continuing to have children. Weaning and potty training are extremely difficult, generally because parents implement those things when children are much younger, but ignoring it because you’re busy and tired is neglectful.

So parents bought bed pads for night accidents at 5. Time to stop. Still wakes and goes in the night but at least he knows he's to big for nappies. Not embarrased.
