Hey Everyone! Welcome to this weeks video!! Today I'm getting a brand new motorcycle!! I pick up a brand new 2023 MT-07 from Capital Powersports in Wake Forest NC! Bike came with a full Akropovic exhaust. Todays video shares the first ride from last week, and I add some vlog and discussion that wasn't ion last weeks video!! Sorry It's a little repetitive if you watched last week however most people don't see every video so this makes sense for me and this channel. All new content next week.
I just got a brand new '23 MT 07 on the 17th and I'm a newbie rider. I definitely don't feel like it's a beginner bike but at the same time it seems forgiving of my mistakes. I spent 3 hours practicing in a parking lot before taking it out on the streets and it was a great time(aside from nearly dropping it twice due to my own dumb mistakes; but I kept her up!)
Slow speed stuff is the hardest! Keep the shiny side up and keep having fun! 😎
Personally I wouldn’t say it’s a beginner bike, but it’s beginner friendly and forgiving as you said!
@@jxla_ I don’t necessarily prescribe to the beginner bike thing anymore. I spoke with someone doing great starting out on a Panigale 959 Corse edition. I guess love is love 🤣🤣
@massimohack1367 this is true, but if people are mature they can handle almost any bike for their first.

The CF 800 nk
so far so good. I’m still in break in period. It has 3 nodes. Rain street & sport. I think it just reduces the power. It has cruise control , upside down forks & good J. Juan brakes. We shall see.
They seem pretty set up my dude. Def worth the cash you spend from what I’ve seen 😎
Dude it sounds so good..haha i have a cf moto 300nk i love mine other than its so hard to find neutral.. but if i had another chance i would have bought this mt07

@@Paramoto959 I typically ride in the southern part of the county since I live that way. Dont make it up your way too often. I used to work just up the street from CP but transfered closer to home.
I meander down Fuquay ish area from time to time. I used to work down there and still like it. Essentially any time I can come up for a reason to make a trip to Gun and Gold I’m there.
Lake wheeler to 401 is probably one of my favorite rides in the area. 😎
@@Paramoto959 I ride Lake Wheeler, Optimist Farm. Hwy 42 or go ride around the backroads near Jordan Lake or Harris Lake.
These road names are bringing me back! I used to be a paramedic with wake co, so I’d commute to the downtown Fuquay station on my CBR 600.
It's always funny, you often hear people say that they're done with motorcycling, but eventually still get back to it. 🏍 Bikelife best life. 😆Enjoy the bike man! They do sound good and like any other naked bikes great for ergonomics, commuting, weekend rides, and urban an suburban riding.
I think ima try to take it on some road trips too. 😎 but you’re right I think I just needed a little break and I’m happy to be back at it!

Yea. I did the same thing. Didn’t get money I was supposed to but bought an SV 650 anyways. Now I have Chinese cf moto 800 naked. NK

i have the 2015 mt 07 now for 3 years i like it not to fast but fun to ride i would like to upgrade the forks or try and put thicker oil in it
Thought about the R6 front end swap?
the mt 07 feels like it has so much torqeu because it makes like 60nm at 2000rpm 68 is max on the 2015 model but it makes it so quick if you mod the intake it will lose some of its down low torqeu ther length of the inlet tube makes more torqeu down low but old carb guys tunig v8 know this
Oh shit I didn’t know that, I’ll be watching some dyno videos with intake mods before I start messing with that. I like the low torque, it’s kinda the whole point of this bike. As far as I’m concerned.
not sure why, but black on these bikes looks budget, that mat paint is just eh... Blue on the other hand, man I love Yamaha blue.

eco mode is automatic dont know wy they show it it just when you are in low revs and low throttle
Coming from fancy Italians that means the bike is in a low power mode. I have some unlearning and relearning to do 🤣
i dont like bar mirrors for use they dont give you the easy mirror check the stock do i dont care how i look i am 41 now and just ride my mt 07 i do track days to but thinking of getting a old cbr 600 honda for that
You had me at clapped out 600cc track bike! 🤤 I’d love to get a beat CBR or 636. As far as the mirrors go, I felt they kinda obstructed my view more then they were useful. The bar ends I got aren’t bad at all. Pleasantly surprised 👍
i have 2015 mt 07 and the suzuki 650 l twin hase the same power curve as the cp2 engine
Nice! How many miles you got on that MT? And is that the SV650?
Did the dealer offer to install that exhaust as an option?
It was installed when I bought it 😎

i live in the netherlands and few years back i there was a false widowe in my house looked like a redback or a widow but not as black and the stripe not as red google picture the thing and its family of the widow and red back (widow and austrlian red back are family)but it was a scare a lot of bugs came here with food

if you get a black mt 07 its not copying if it was like that would would all have to have cutom wraps not to have the same as others

Only mistake, using Turbotax instead of TaxHawk, everything else is just winning.

I don't care that it's low on power in its class. It sounds so dope. First upgrade should be upside down forks
It definitely doesn’t feel low on power. I can’t wait to rip it after break in!
The front suspension does feel a bit loose. Seems like freeway rides into the wind it’s not super planted. I’m also coming from super bikes so that could just be me. 😎
Mt07 is not low on power by any means. I have the DNA stage 2 air intake and ECU flashed with m4 full system and my friends R6 won’t beat it off the line til about 60-70
@@dillonmatthews5534 we live in two different worlds of what's fast and powerful. 70mph is like 1st gear things bro. 70hp to 80hp is more than enough yes but it's not fast in relation to what's out there.
That has a lot to do with type of motor as well. Inlines typically are tuned to have their power up top. These twins are much more linear.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why Yamaha put these silver handlebars on this bike. Everything else is pretty much blacked out.

I’m about to pull the trigger on a blue 23 for $7500. Do you know if there is any difference between the 23 vs 24? At first didn’t like the blue but it’s really starting to grown on me.
The blue grew on me too 😎 I don’t believe there is a difference. The 2023 comes with the updated screen and quick shifter ready. 👍
@@Paramoto959One very minor difference I noticed at the dealer today was the front fenders are ever so slightly different colors. The 24s is has a slight blueish gray hue to it and the 23 is just matte black. I put a deposit down on the 23 today and can’t wait to road test and sign the paperwork. I’ll be following your vids. I have a 2024 MT-07 & my display doesn’t look like yours
Have you scrolled the two different modes?
@@Paramoto959 Yeah I’ve tried touring & street. Although I did try it while in ACC mode, not with the engine running
I did a Google search and the 23/24’s look like the same dash
@@Paramoto959 Figured it out. Gotta press and then hold after selecting the theme to back out & save the option, otherwise selecting it does nothing if it resets itself
I need to mess with it as well I not good with anything electronic cuz im old lol
There are no ride modes on this bike. It has display modes of street and touring
