  • The battery was so dead it wouldn't even turn on my tester, but I loss that footage of me testing the battery bc of the GoPro. But as you can see the battery was definitely dead as it took hours for the Noco to repair it and then charge it.

you gotta perform the battery test without the NOCO attached and plugged in, because it's providing the required voltage throwing off your tester.

You did it wrong . Noco book says to use force mode first on a completely dead battery then charge mode until full and then repair mode . Discharge and repeat . Glad it work for you but try it the way the instructions say and it may improve even more .

Isn’t it always going to show voltage if you hook the tester up while the charger is on it?

Without an actual load test you don't know if is fix. load test is install on car with a multimeter, disconnect a fuse so it doesn't start. Crank for 5 sec, and monitor voltage, if is over 10.5 is ok.

Yup correct....I mentioned in the video the right way to test is by load testing it but I just wanted to show what this maintainer could do

Good video and demo, thumbs up. Odyssey batteries are the best and use 100 percent pure lead, are designed for a 10 year life span, with 400 discharge cycles at 80 percent. Have you heard of a Pulsetech PowerPulse battery desulfator that you leave attached at all times to your battery and uses a patented frequency to desulfate rather then voltage spikes? I am using a PowerPulse on my BMW E39 Battery for the past 3 years, and have had no issue's starting my car even though I only drive it about 25 miles per week.
