We won’t forget him. Reading and watching Yu-Gi-Oh when I was young, and still today, makes me so happy. His writing inspired me, I loved the puzzles he created, I loved the characters, I loved the world, the lore, the history, and still do. He reinvigorated my love for Egyptian history when I’d been scared off by mummies as a very young child, and I can never be grateful enough for him. I learned to love horror through his work, and it’s been a joyous part of my life. Mr Takahashi has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I hope he, and his family, will find peace.

Love your words, I can completely relate your feelings here. The original Yu-Gi-Oh was not intended to be exclusively designed as a card game but far more cultural. His style of darkness reminds me a lot of H. P. Lovecraft. When the Pharaoh woke up after thousands of years, the emptiness for lacking of memories and the ambiguity for judging and tormenting people's mind through dark games were beyond good and bad. The moment one embraces his or her darkside shall find peace. I sincerely hope Mr. Takahashi would be remembered more for his messages in his life works. R.I.P legend.

I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Back in 2005 and continued till almost 10 years and through it, had such fond memories that I'll treasure till I die. Met so many people, some of whom I'm friends with till this day. It's amazing the ripple effect one man's creation can have which can impact people's lives throughout the world. Rest in Peace, Legend!

Rest in Power Kazuki Takahashi!! His story and characters are timeless!! I still remember the ending quote from Joey Wheeler at the end of the original anime!! He said to Pharaoh Atem: “You’re not going anywhere cause you are with us in our hearts!” We all love Yugi Moto’s duels and episodes but the other side characters like Joey Wheeler, Crow Hogan, Kallin Kessler and other characters that have impactful lines and actions that make them unforgettable!!

I remember when I started learning the game, I was only 12. Since then, I have been addicted for so many years. Takahashi brought something wonderful into my life that will last forever. And for that I am truly grateful. It's heartbreaking to lose such an amazing man, who brought about a franchise that gave lots of people joy. It's hard to lose someone like that. He was the true king of games.

I've only just got into this game last year and now I'm hit with this news. This guy really is a legend among legends for bringing about such a cherished piece of media, and I can see that with just how passionate this community is about all things Yu-Gi-Oh! related.

It’s been a tad difficult to process to be honest. I spent the morning crying. His creation influenced my creations, my art, and my channel, even a large portion of my childhood. I don’t really know where I would be today without Yugioh, truly a king who created a wonderful manga and card game. Rest In Peace Takahashi.
