What a disaster...who uses toothpaste for a thermal compound, they need to stay away from electronics and repairs alike....anyway great job on repairing this Xbox keep up the epic work
ha ha lol me .... i used tooth paste on xbox 360 back in the day desperate to play mw2 stuck it in the oven for 45 too :) to be fair it really worked.
@@johnlouis5200 well I guess your Xbox APU would temporarily smell nice and minty before burning out maybe even cook afew eggs on it to make a quick sandwich beforehand lol...anyway would recommend just buying some thermal compound next time only like £5
dude that xbox is really bad. I salute you IF that thing actually works. damn near destroyed every trace near a component that was "repaired" previously. I'd tell this person buy a new xbox

@30:00 how do you know that is sitting where it should? I know there's a corner marking but I mean how do you know it's seated? can you feel it?
I get the board at a funky angle and look for the pads and solder balls. I wouldn't say it's a guess.... But it's not far off! 😅
That was indeed rough to watch! Maybe they wanted a fresh start to the console. So they used minty breath toothpaste xD

Some people prefer MX-4, some prefer Thermal Grizzly, the real Chads prefer Colgate.

Hey I am having a problem with my Xbox series X …I had an issue where my box was crashing because of over heat…I got that issue fix and now when I play call of duty it will crash about 4x a game too where I really don’t know what to do…I asked Microsoft to help me with the issue they had me factory rest my box and I’m still having the same issue but it’s not due to over heat…
my ask you what soldermask do you use it looks good ?
