We are working on adding subtitles for each country to each video as well. Spanish subtitles are on some videos, but we need to add them to all videos as well as add other languages.
Yes! Or email the sites and ask them to place a link to your site into one of their relevant pages. Show them how your link will add value to their page

Since you are sharing with them your final post and they are sharing that most probably in their social media, how are you getting backlinkgs? Shouldnt they post your blogpost in their websites or blog so that Google tracks them and rank you higher?
The more traffic a post gets, naturally some people link to it. So doing things like getting more social shares through roundup posts, tends to cause links indirectly.

I suck at picking domain names. I would ask a few people you trust on some ideas and go from there. Ideally those people should be interested in what your site is about.

I would say, the higher the DA of the backlink the more likely you are to rank
