That is definitely quite the collection of Sonic games, Jon; I am almost envious at that, and the fact you have made this channel 1/3 a Sonic-tube channel. Any chance of you guys ever doing an 8-bits episode of Sonic?
I wish I could say the same, my first console was the Master System followed by the Mega Drive (Genesis in the US) and Sonic was the first franchise I fell in love with. But sadly I did not get all Sega consoles nor keep anything until the Dreamcast, which I lent to a friend who ruined it. (Former, but that's not the reason why.) I also only ever had Sonic 1-3 and & Knuckles and turned my head towards the Nintendo 64 after the Mega Drive era meaning I never knew the Saturn era of Sonic. I do keep most games and consoles now, though, and do have a majority of the series on GBA, Gamecube, PS2, PS3 and Switch. I haven't really double-dipped, but I did start collecting the PS3/360 era Sonic games on the 360 before switching over to the PS3 versions. And I'm now tempted, since I've been getting the latest era of Sonic game on Switch, to double-dip and get them on my PS5 now. I do enjoy the series enough to double-dip, so I don't mind. Anyways, loved seeing your collection and I always enjoy these random videos from Jon. Please keep them coming. 🤣
The most notable Sonic games I own are both the Sega Pico releases! A US release Sonic's Gameworld and UK release of Tails and the Music Maker. Only bought them because I randomly found a boxed Sega Pico in a pawn shop for £45 while out shopping one day, getting it home on the train was a big struggle lol
At one point I also started collecting the Japanese boxed releases of the old games. Mostly because of their wild cover arts! Some of them are surprisingly cheap to get (some others, not so much!)
That Mega Man joke at the start hurt a little bit. I love Sonic (my first console was a Saturn), but Mega Man is near and dear to my heart, my favorite series.
What about the SEGA Classics Collection games for the 3DS? I would suggest getting those in the near future. Volume 2 is the only way to get a physical release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3D Classic. Additionally, I'm also pretty sure that Volume 3 (Japan exclusive) has Sonic the Hedgehog 2 3D Classic. The PAL release of Volume 2 is still pretty reasonably priced, but I imagine it will steadily increase in the future after the 3DS eshop shuts down and people realise it's the only (?) official way to play Fantasy Zone II W - which by itself makes the collection worth it..

Hey Jon. Could you look over Conduit 2 on the Wii one of these days? I feel it is a highly underrated Wii exclusive that doesn't get nearly enough praise. Just a real solid FPS.

Sooooo, you're saying you like Sonic games 🤪 That is a great collection. Though for me the gamecube SA1 and SA2 were the best for their time. I regret trading those. I clocked a lot of hours with those. But now Generation takes the lead and probably Frontiers will soon.

Just a small update since I saw a short, Jon did end up getting Sonic Genesis for GBA for his birthday. Complete too!

I completely forgot that Zero Gravity released on PS2. It's crazy how long the PS2 lasted after the PS3 released.
Yeah, it really is a strange anomaly. In fact the PS2 version never released in Japan despite the fact it was being made by a Japanese developer.
