I met my fiancé online about 4 and a half yrs ago. We were on opposite sides of the U.S. The first year was hard…we went through some bumps and stuff and almost called it quits a few times however…I had to really think about what it was that I wanted and needed in my life and see if I could picture him in it. Could I picture being with him for the rest of my life? Does he fit? The day I realized it was absolutely real was when I was out with some friends and they were commenting on some guys and kept asking what I thought. It was then that it hit me. He was it for me. I didn’t find anyone else attractive. Also, our relationship was face timing everyday and loads of texts for that first year. He came out my way to visit me a couple of times. We ended up relocating together and now we’re getting married and are truly happy! Btw, he’s 9 yrs younger and is the very first person I’ve ever gone out with that was younger than me.

A story that involves something that you have and they want and don't fall for it. Some of these people are professionals in this type of arrangement. So look out for money, plane tickets and again money. Thank you for sharing something personal and being open about it. But not everthing that shimmers is gold.

Been there a few times, date someone your own age, these scenarios will not work 99% of the time - do not get disillusioned love, it’s a fun time not a long time. So long as you don’t get it mixed up can be incredible while it lasts.

Never met someone where it worked out. Other people will constantly be in your relationship. So internet relationships are becoming more and more normal! I guess it’s more about what you have in common, your values, your life choices etc. Thais gibson and Briana McWilliams might be a great resource just to get some basics of a healthy relationship down so that no matter the distance the foundation is there!
