The simple fact that he's in the steeler game hitting the qb on the game deciding play, imo is everything and enough. His game needs a lot of work. Fortunately, Dr Rush is in the house.
I loved David coming out of college top 10-15 talent for sure before his injury. I believe David is still working himself back from the Achilles and ACL but he's getting better the more he plays. I believe Zach Orr was under a alot of pressure earlier in the season and it caused us as defense to more basic in the scheme cause if you look at our rush we don't do alot of speed rushes we're I think David ojabo excels at but playing within Zach Orr scheme he's gotten better with reps
He really has not played for 2 1/2 years (just a few snaps here or there). He is not in football game speed. So far an underachiever, however it does not mean he can not approve giving he is getting back up to game speed. Next year is a contract year. Who knows, maybe he can turn into something where we might give him a new contract or another team might sign him and help our comp pick chances. Remember Ryan Jensen first 3 years were nothing to write home about and he did not develop until his 4th year.
Looks like Ojabo doesn’t have the same quick first step get off he had at Michigan. Perhaps it’s the injuries or still learning and thinking due to the limited snaps.
He's watching inside to keep an eye and potential contain on Russell if he tries to keep the ball. The fact that he closes the distance almost immediately after they release kind of proves he does have the explosive speed. The closing speed is 100% what forced Wilson to get rid of the ball before he wanted/should have. Comparing rushing techniques from college and the NFL is kind of pointless. In college, sure, he could just be a speed rusher and get 2 steps upfield every snap without anybody even getting a hand on him. At the NFL level there aren't pure speed rushers anymore. He's still developing his pass rush at the NFL level because of the season ending injuries he's had back to back. I think his impact will be contain and getting a sack or two from being able to close quickly for the rest of the season. That said, Ojabo is a candidate to watch for a breakout season next year if he can continue to stay healthy and keep developing
I think some of it is them could be teaching him similar to oweh who lacks the knowledge and technique side to pass rushing he just relied on his speed to make it happen. I think having injuries definitely has set him back. However I think as long as he stays healthy and keeps learning and putting in the work he will get there. Travis, oweh, and Madubuike are all good examples of how they develop pass rushers and defensive line men in Baltimore. Just stinks to give up a 2nd round pick and the guy doesn’t perform to what we except out of the gate but it happens.
I never 👎🏾 wanted The Ravens 🐦⬛ to draft him. They Drafted because Jim Harbaugh told John Harbaugh they should Draft him. He’s a BUST unless I see otherwise Cole! He was a Boom 💥 or Bust pick plain and Simple.
Oweh and Ojabo both have tendency for late hits. When I saw the pick6 play in real time I thought a flag was coming. Rewatching it, it was definitely closer than what I previous felt but I also feel against Mahomes that we never get the benefit of the doubt. My point being, we play it so fast and tight, I love the aggressiveness but I can see it biting us when we get into situational football
If he was worth anything, McDonald would have taken him to Seattle. The Ravens drafted him and Ross because of McDonald. I don’t think either has panned out.
@@darnellmiller1215 I meant didn’t try to trade for him to add him to his squad. Neither did Jim Harbaugh. It’s funny how some people have no comment on the video, just look to criticize others comments.
@@richardjackson8071 I'll delete my comment so you won't be offended any further; but for clarification, the comment was related to the video based on Ojabo and what you suggested 😉. But I'll delete my comment and I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season.
To be fair David Ojabo did have 2 serious injuries. A torn Achilles (pro day) & a partially-torn ACL, respectively. Both season-ending injuries.
Ravens should treat him like the do Falele, just let get some reps
The simple fact that he's in the steeler game hitting the qb on the game deciding play, imo is everything and enough.

Think he will continue to improve.

David Ojabo has been underwhelming

We're 100% using our first round pick on a edge rusher.
Oline/Dline, dline first pref

What's the context on some of these rushes? Some look a little like a first down rush with run game responsibilities.
I'm not familiar with the term "we all expected" in terms of all of Canada or just the channel?
OJABO is the reason MARLO had that pick6 without the pressure from OJABO it don't happen.
While true, it’s also a chip release of the TE.
So credit for getting upfield in two steps but it’s a free rush for any player

He just has to get his nfl legs imo
Probably his last season here. It didn't pan out.

After a injury like that the body could be healed but what about his mental health needs reps so he could redevelop
Well hitting Russ helped on that int so no one could catch Marlon but sadly we wasted a pick on him 😂😂😂
Pickens may be a nut job but was available when we took Ojabo. Just saying. 😈
Yeah, how to pile on after a tackle is made 🤣

He should be playing better and add more to the team
He getting pressured when out there not any sacks like #99 few seasons
Should Have Drafted Pickens lol

Yep, be physical and smart
not Lawrence Taylor. prob never be. close needs the gym and nutrition maybe get some tips from d Henry
Way too risky of a pick taking him in the second with an Achilles injury. As far as I am concerned, EDC gambled and lost.
I don’t think so give him time he’s going to develop to who he was
If he was worth anything, McDonald would have taken him to Seattle. The Ravens drafted him and Ross because of McDonald. I don’t think either has panned out.
What? that makes no sense Mcdonald couldn't have taken him he not a free agent until the year after next
You’re right. I meant he didn’t try to trade for him to add to his squad. Nor did Harbaugh. Where is your comment other than to criticize mine?

He's not that guy, he's just not. He would be better at another position
Full bust.
Wasted pick
