Love your videos! Can’t wait to fish the cowlitz in the next week or two. Just going from shore. If I don’t catch it doesn’t matter! A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work
Just found your videos! Really been getting into fishing in the last few years. You have alot of helpful information. Me and my brother been trying to figure the river out we been twice in the last two weeks. Caught a springer and one summer run. Thanks for the helpful tips about the river. Tight lines and hope to see you out there!
Watching you get out of your launch along the bank and cruising through that shallow run was giving me so much anxiety! Enjoyed hearing about all the boats and the time with your dad. That wreck sounds like such a surreal experience. Thanks for sharing so much with us.
I understand you live on the cowlitz, as do I on horseshoe bend area, i have a 20ft northriver and i need someone to take me out and teach me the river as i dont know where to go or where the gravel bars are at i dont want to get stuck somewhere. @@Northwestfishingfanatics
I’ve got to disagree with you on saying springers aren’t great table fare. Springers have the highest fat content of any salmon entering the river because they will spend 4-6 months before actually spawning in the river. Which in that whole time frame don’t eat anything. You compare that to a fall chinook or winter steelhead where as soon as they are in the river their time frame to spawn is within 1-2 months so they have little to no fat reserves.
@@Northwestfishingfanatics I’m just amazed you live on the river yet don’t catch any fish on a river people are reeling them in year round it’s strange I think you’re doing something wrong.

You should make a video on fishing on the Columbia
I haven't been down there in years. Used to fish for sturgeon allot. Not so much anymore since the wife won't eat them.
I love the stories man. I live here on kodiak island and love the same type of fishing. keep up the good work.
