Daijin was my absoloute fave in the movie. If I was Suzume I wouldve left souta as the keystone and made daijin my cat. Even if I wasnt, i still wish she said i love you back to daijin at the end.

Bro what mistake did saota did he just sacrificed his half life for Saving people as a closer , who are not recognised as saviours, like he told " some important jobs should be secret" or something like that . Daijin was poor too but Saota is not bad , or it is not that he is not worth to live

I mean, if Daijin said something like "Suzume, when you said that you remembered me of my purpose and why I choose it" I would be crying with a warm heart, and not by sadness. I'm here crying, I just watched the movie and I couldn't understand WHY DAIJIN COULD NOT LIVE WITH SUZUME? cats chose ppl, and daijin can't just because it would tear the earth? I mean, I kinda understand now, but the scene were Sadaijin is hugging and licking Daijin is so cute and I was just loving the way Daijin was having his best life taking a mama's bath, then he turn wood in the end and I couldn't help but cry. I'm kinda frustrated and I think that if this was about "doors that you have to close in your life" kinda movie I miss the point totally when Daijin said "I wasn't able to be Suzume's cat". I'm sad
I enjoy Daijin's bratty attitude, but I can't force myself to like his character throughout the movie, he is actively malicious, it's a shame that he couldn't learn that his actions were selfish despite how long he roamed among humans.

This was the one big thing I disliked about the film, they could have made it so that they were still living somehow but I didn’t like it and felt sad with the way it ended cause even though our heroes lived they don’t really end up together
