I like Mayim better now that she’s not on the nightly show and there’s no danger that she’s going to get the full time hosting job. The only person that could step into Alex’s place is Ken. So I’m thrilled because I don’t have to stop watching.
When it was the time when all were taking their turns at hosting, I had 3 picks for Jeopardy. Aarron Rodgers, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik. I have to admit I was disappointed when Aaron was not in the final running, but I knew in my heart that Ken would make the best fit because he and Alex seemed to have a strong connection. After 74 days, who would not have a bond. He has done many things with and for Jeopardy that he is all deserving of this honor. Than Mayim who is passionate about learning came along and she is the perfect host for the specials/tournaments. It means so much to me that 2 of my picks made it to the Jeopardy hosting podium! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ken and Mayim for continuing Alex Trebeks' legacy!

I was always team Ken Jennings, and when he was announced as host I was beside myself with delight. It felt like winning the pennant, and when Mayim Bialik was confirmed it was like winning the World Series. I'm confident Jeopardy is in good hands with these two adroit hosts; in other words, I'm 'inculcated' with confidence from witnessing their adept hosting abilities.
They were my two top picks to become the permanent hosts when they had I guess what you would call auditions but seemed more like a vanity project for resumes. Simple reason, you want hosts who sound and are a little nerdy and they both fit the bill, they really are no kidding smart people not someone with just the big school of broadcasting voice. It has worked out well. I'm even surprised at a few of Ken's witticisms. This was one of those transitions that had a lot of landmines and somehow it worked out perfectly, even having two hosts gives it a nice change of pace.
Great interview with them both there at the same time - seeing how they get along. I love them both as hosts - they have their own character and personalities. They are both witty, smart and very quick to respond.
Jeopardy is a must in our household and we love both Mayim and Ken. Congrats and looking for to the new season. Especially looking forward to the Tournament of Champions.

As an acquaintance of original host Art Fleming when he was on KMOX radio, I wish Jeopardy would do a special week or tournament using the original rules that actually allowed a contestant to be put in jeopardy by ringing in before the answer could even be read. That was what really made this show such a tough one to win back in the 1960s. Contestants like Jay Wolpert were amazing!

They were talking about things they enjoy about the game/categories, etc. I enjoy when they get a clue that someone in our age group would know so easily but the contestants are standing there silent without a clue and no one buzzes in. I love their responses, like "C'mon guys! Really?"
Mayim seems so much more likable in this interview than on the show. On the show, she seems like she is playing someone hosting a game show. I wish she would act more herself when she hosts. I love when Ken hosts. He is a natural replacement for Alex Trebek.
I think they both do a great job while bringing different things to hosting the show. I’ve often wondered how do they keep track of who selects the next category and amount after a wrong response. Also do they as hosts know where the Daily Doubles are, sometimes it seems like they’re announcing them before they’re revealed, Alex seemed to do it all the time.
If u watch the contestants pulpits or booths, I believe in the bottom right or maybe left of those has a white light that always is lit for who is in control of the board and Yes I do believe it is written in front of the host's' as to where the daily doubles are. The next time u watch Jeopardy I'de wager a true daily double that you will be looking for the bright white little bulb at the front bottom of the podiums to see who has control of the board. Ooops I mean " Who will looking for the light in which we speak of?" Haha
They both do a wonderful job. I don't understand the criticism that Mayim receives. The producers couldn't have chosen two better hosts. We could have been stuck with Joe Buck or Katie Couric. That would have been a challenge for die-hard fans of the show.

FYI it’s spelled Mayim, which is Hebrew for water. She speaks several languages, but I’m sure they go over the questions ahead of time to make sure their pronunciation is correct, especially if they have any questions about some thing.
To tell the truth of the matter, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik should both host the show together like how Pat Sajak and Vanna White do on _Wheel of Fortune_ - that way, Mayim can be Sony's *SECOND* beautiful board model!

The people complaining about this dual situation are ridiculous. They both are hosting quite well, and I don't understand the complaining about Mayim taking over, or Ken being removed. It is a shared position, and it seems to be working just fine.
No two permanent hosts could ever replace Alex, at best they can only hope to succeed him, and while I'm not an avid watcher, I dare say both Ken and Mayim do an excellent job. My dream job would have been to be a game show host, but I would not want to host Jeopardy! I think that is the most difficult hosting job of any game show. Glad to see Jeopardy is picking up the pieces after the Mike Richards fiasco.
I'd honestly rather not have a new permanent host. Sure, co-hosts is unusual for game shows. However, only Alex can be the true host. He hosted for over 36 years and Jeopardy is called "The Alex Trebek stage". Long live the king!
Robert Ray: I grew up watching Jeopardy, but I don’t remember him either. So out of curiosity I looked it up and he hosted until 1979. Before 1979, I was mostly watching things like Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. So please don’t be offended if some people under 50 don’t remember that person, whom they have never seen.
I absolutely love watching Ken Jennings host Jeopardy. Mayim is sweet and I enjoy listening to her voice. What is difficult for me to watch is she seems to shift around quite a bit the way I do when I am standing while experiencing back pain. I have two suggestions. (1) Dump the heels. They aren’t worth it or slip them on only when walking out from the pulpit. My friend had two knee replacements because of wearing heels while she taught First Grade for decades. The children would not have cared. Instead, consider more comfortable shoes like Alegria or Sketchers or some other comfortable shoe. (2) , I would contact Carol Tuttle of Dressing Your Truth for wardrobe, hair and makeup suggestions. Carol’s program is inexpensive. Dress with colors/color tones, textures, styles and jewelry that bring out Mayim’s fun personality. Often Mayim’s Jeopardy clothing is making her look drab and matronly which is opposite of her personality. Ken looks great! Just some ideas.
I appreciate that they specifically addressed game pace and speed of rulings. Seeing Mayim's pauses as a compassionate desire to get it right for the sake of the contestant helps me accept it more. I do think it backfires by introducing anxiety, but maybe that's the fan perspective, and contestants truly aren't rattled by it. Certainly, knowing WHY she does it could put me more at ease if I were the one buzzing in.
having seen this i like mayim more than i did before, but ken is the man, i wish he was the full time host. he has the wit, intelligence and genuine likability needed to keep the show entertaining and at times dramatic.

Neither one of them is the perfect host like Trebek was (That is impossible). Ken is a little dry at points, Mayim is a little too quirky sometimes. I think they create a nice balance and they should both be rewarded for their efforts.
I rooted for Mayim to be the permanent host by herself. I’ve had trouble watching Ken but the decision is made. Time to enjoy BOTH hosts regardless of preference.
How about just a blanket bpolicy that the hosr doesn't rule on anything until "X" number of seconds go by? That would eliminate the host ruling an answer incorrect right as the contestant corrects themselves.
My favorite Is Mayim. She is lively, involved and she makes the game fun and enjoyable. I also like the way she dresses. I think I would stop watching Jeopardy if Mayim did not host.

Ken Jennings should be the only host. I like MB but Ken is just so much better in my opinion.

How about just a blanket bpolicy that the hosr doesn't rule on anything until "X" number of seconds go by? That would eliminate the host ruling an answer incorrect right as the contestant corrects themselves.
My favorite Is Mayim. She is lively, involved and she makes the game fun and enjoyable. I also like the way she dresses. I think I would stop watching Jeopardy if Mayim did not host.

I truly love syndicated version with Ken Jennings! I truly love primetime version with Mayim Bialik.
Mayim has no business even going near Jeopardy! Ken is the rightful heir to be host. The majority of Jeopardy! fans also has spoken.
Ken is by far a better host. Why is there a not a puplic vote as to who they prefer?
Because most people prefer Mayim.
