What I'd really like to see is the sideways torsion strength. I.e. if someone puts a crowbar in the middle and bends it sideways applying pressure to all the joints at the same time.

Here in Mexico, where bicycle theft is out of control, they won't use an angle grinder; but for rigid locks they use a car jack. For a Kryptonite style U lock it is a 2 minute job. I would like to see the car jack test. I'm optimistic, but I would like to see that one. Over half the bikes in our town have hand painted paint jobs, obviously stolen. A vast majority of pick up trucks have bolt cutters in the bed, obviously for bicycle theft. Please do the car jack test and post it if you can. Thank-you. I'd like to make the purchase and show it off to my friends.

    It's an awesome idea.
I ride a motorbike, but things like this can convert me to a bike :)
    Good luck with the campaign!

The 'Mason' model needs to be reviewed by Bosnian Bill or the Lock Picking Lawyer to verify how good (or bad) it really is! please send them your lock. if they review it, people will start buying them!

Nut splitter placed between the bars will pop the rivet out in seconds! Just look at any of the lock pick lawyers vids on here, the Abus bordo granite is way tougher and that went with a bang

There is some kind of metal springs protecting the rivets. Bosnian Bill made a video about it, he tried to pick it for one hour and didn't managed to open it so he tried your way and failed too. The only way to break it was to use a huge bolt cutter the size of an entire bicycle, because a normal sized bolt cutter wasn't enough

This is very impressive. Now having said that, don't believe this can't be defeated. *ANY* lock can be broken or picked. A professional thief would have professional tools that would defeat this in under 3 minutes. Problem for a thief is 3 minutes is a long time; but worth it if they are stealing a $3000 or more bike. But if you want to discourage the bumblers and addicts looking for a quick fix, this should work nicely. Ideally though you should have one of these and a foldylock and have them interlaced.

We haven't tried angle grinder since there are many kind. The strong one cuts everything.

right but the time it takes to cut through it is the important part.

Someone cut my Seatylock and stole my bike this week in San Francisco at Pier 27 on The Embarcadero. An angle grinder was most likely used. My bike was in a public space with other bikes, but the they must of cut through the connecting section quickly.

      What about a scissor jack?

Convinced? NO, absolutely NOT. The one thing that is the achilles heel (as the saying goes) of folding bike locks is the nut spitter. And you didn't show a nut splitter being tried on this lock. Wonder why? I know why. Because a good heavy nut splitter would make short work of this Seatylock folding lock. There's plenty of videos here on YT showing much more substantial folding locks being easily assaulted and destroyed by a nut splitter. One channel I can think of right now is the lockpickinglawyer.

They'll just go through whatever the bike is locked to if the lock is actually too strong

no angle grinder test? come on this is 2016... also, it only resists .6 tons.. what if the thief uses a 1 ton bottle jack?

Even if the thief had an angle grinder, they would also either need a spare seat to ride off or a vehicle to load it on. Good idea. No bike/lock is thief proof.

Thieves... if you are hacksawing remember to go slowly. Speed work hardens the steel you're cutting ...also ensure your blade is orientated correctly cutting on the push stroke .
