Well done, SCDXIV, for such an impressive first week launch! So many with varying dance potential with no obvious duffers in sight!
I just noticed all the celebs have positive and negative comments while Judge Rinder only had Craig going on and on about his trout pout? Hmm, who edited this RUclips highlight clip again? Axe to grind much?

Craig had a point, though. The shocked fish face got old about three seconds into the routine. I myself have never been a fan of over-the-top mugging.
Lee Cox I agree Robert should town down his OTT expression, otherwise it will distract. But I am referring to the clips they cut for this hightight reel. Every celeb has positive and negative comments, and he only had negative comment and no positive ones.

Great idea to include scores in the highlight weekly show clips! Here are the rundown after the opening night:
Laura & Giovanni's Cha-Cha-Cha: 5+6+7+7=25
Naga & Pasha's Waltz: 5+6+6+6=23
Robert & Oksana's Cha-Cha-Cha: 6+7+6+6=25
Lesley & Anton's Waltz: 5+6+6+6=23
Ore & Joanne's Tango: 7+7+6+7=27
Greg & Natalie's Jive: 6+7+7+7=27
Note: Both waltzes scored the lowest, with identical scores and even the orders from the judges. Naga's routiune is more complex but she didn't connect (Jay's problem of not dancing with her face and not connecting to her partner, but she's a diamond in the rough), so it may be onwards and upwards from her.
Laura and Judge Rinder's cha-cha also tied in scores.
Craig didn't score below five, which is the first ever in SCD for the first night show. He also generously gave a seven to Ore. Whenever Craig gave his highest score to the couple on opening night, you can be sure the couples in question will go far in the competition. And it's the first for Craig's score range to be so narrow, between 5 - 7! Never happened before! This batch of celebs are very good dance-talent wise (well, barring second night performances, but I think only Ed might possibly score less than a 5 from Craig)...
