- 4.10.22 | by Adam | MIDTOWN Manhattan - Cops called backup around 336am Sunday at Penn Station. A cop was injured on the floor. A perp was restrained with handcuffs, also on the floor. A woman was cursing at the cops. Cop was treated by EMS, appearing to be stable. Unknown what happened to the perp or the circumstances of him being restrained.

Big shoutout to all the officers who leave their families at home to protect our city 🙏 even though everyone released within 24 hours no bail.
How about 90% of cops are jerks. Not all but 90% are nasty trouble makers.
Only a hand full protect and those are the officers that need to be respected and protected.

I agree screaming lady was awful. But does anyone find it odd that they kept this guy handcuffed here for so long? Were they waiting for EMT this whole time? It just seems odd that SOO many cops come and go, and it looks like kind of a long time. Does it take this long to get an ambulance in NYC normally? I'm asking because I've never been there or subway. Why keep him there so long?
i work in construction in nyc and its not unusual to wait 45 minutes for an ambulance in manhattan. last year my partner had a seizure on a job site and i took her to the hospital in a taxi because it was quicker than waiting for an ambulance.

Those are tumors. I imagine they are on other parts of his body. He continues to work and NYPD continues to put him to work. He would require surgery to remove those tumors, a little at a time. That guy has heart.

So 8 NYPD couldn't figure out where to go for back up to a situation. The other officers could have died while waiting for them to get to them. That's pretty sad.

@@helloqtip21 I left NY when I was 12 in 1994. Rode the subway last time in 2016. Let’s just say, it’s actually not as bad as it used to be. At least vendors aren’t everywhere selling BS crap and at least there is not graffiti everywhere!
@KimMarco - That is a big station! Back around 1980, I was in uniform coming back from court and riding the train back up to my command. As I was pulling into the train into that station, I heard the call of officer needing assistance over the radio. I jumped off the train and found the nearest booth. No one there. I asked where the officer was at. They gave the booth number. Being that I never worked the command that covered that station, I ran from booth to booth. Don't remember exactly, but that station has like 6 - 8 booths. I ran my rear end off - I'm guessing I ran full speed over a mile just to find the right booth but the officer and other back up who was familiar with the station were already leaving.... and I was totally gassed out. If you never worked that station you would have no idea. Neither did I back then. Not sad, but it's literally an underground city. I remember the year because I was so close to help yet so far... Can't forget that incident.
