I want to to put the BMW 🔵⚪️ logo on it so when I start the car it shows the BMW or download a BMW pic and set it as wallpaper on my menu screen, instead of using the 5 standard colors it comes with. Do you have the latest version installed? If so am I able to do this?
This model XAV-AX1000 doesn’t support Android auto CarPlay. If you want Android auto CarPlay then go for other models. Wifi is not supported. You can connect Android phone using Bluetooth.
I am thinking of purchasing this unit however I have an android. I only want to connect it to play music through Bluetooth and don't care about any navigation or maps apps, will this still be able to work?
@@chetanjoshisasane Thank you! The only reason I like this model better is the physical volume knob, I hate touch screen adjustment and buttons but I also have a rear camera since my car is longer than average.

I haven’t tried it. But as per the safety precautions that functions should not be on the car music player. Apple CarPlay also didn’t support for video apps.
I have purchased from Flipkart in 2020 for 9.5K, I got a good deal during festive season. I think this model is now discontinued, you can buy it from local shop.

It is working fine in 2021 as well, but it has only Apple CarPlay. I will recommend AX1500, it has weblink feature. AX5000 has better touch screen, that is also recommended.
Did you update yours to be able to use Android auto, because mine is on vs1.00 and doesn't support Android auto. What update version did it have in the video?

XAV-AX1000 supports only Apple CarPlay. Android device not supported for maps and other apps. Only Bluetooth music can be used with Android. Better go with XAV-AX3000 or 5000 which has Android auto, maps can be used.

I wish the new Sony stereos still came with a volume knob. I want one that supports Android Auto but the only ones available just have buttons.
XAV-AX 1500 has volume knob as well as supporting Android auto.

Same problem with me as well, during bright Sunny day display is slightly dim. I will search if there is any solution and let you know.

Yes it will work 👍. If you have android then my suggestion will be AX1500 or AX3000 model will be good for you.

With USB flash drive, it didn’t show much details. With CarPlay it works well.

It is working fine in 2021 as well, but it has only Apple CarPlay. I will recommend AX1500, it has weblink feature. AX5000 has better touch screen, that is also recommended.

That is weird. After turning on or off no need to connect bluetooth again, it will automatically connect. Try to update software firmware.

I have this same unit on my 03 Silverado but it won’t turn off even with the truck being completely off
It should turn off. For me after turning off ignition switch completely music player turned off.
