Decades ago, as a kid, I heard about the plaster casters. Little did I know I'd be watching an interview with the original plaster caster on RUclips.
I remember back in the day , and fiends and I thought it was great!!!!!! We wanted to do it too. We thought it histerarical!!!! I can't believe I got to see her in this video!!!! I love her she was a legend !!!!
As a teen in the early 70s I read about the Plaster Casters all the time! I was a Hendrix fan too- I heard about his amazing dick. And finally got to see it in the other RUclips video! I also love the way she has the decor of dicks around the room. 🍆🍆🍆

Have Pam's book and I'm rereading it for the 3rd time ( yes, it's that good!)! Back to Cynthia, though, she was and still is, one of a kind! I don't think anyone would have the balls(no pun intended) to do what she has done today. BRAVO, CYNTHIA!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Brilliant story .....Its Pop Art Sculpture.
Loved her story of how it all came about from an art class project. Given some of the artists were also art students in art college, I am sure that resonated. Very clever--plus she kept going with it as an art exhibit--not groupie whatever. Has the collection ever gone on tour? I would think the items would be fragile, and some museums uncomfortable--but I think it would be interesting.
Um, yes it was an artistic approach, but she was also a groupie. Didn't you listen to the beginning of the interview? She talked with the guy in Paul Revere and The Raiders and she lost her virginity to him. She openly stated in the beginning that one of the reasons she got into it was because she wanted to sleep with cute British rockers.
She had a few of the major pieces, including Hendrix bronzed. So they are pretty safe.
KISS named a song after her in 1977!

A lot of judgmental comments on here. At least she had a unique hobby and is a groupie legend. I don't see anything disgusting about it. The guys agreed to do it and she still has the results of some historic examples.

Cindy, I remember you very well. I was the black kid from Laguna Beach that had the large apartment above the Whiskey on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood during the 60's. I had hoped you'd do mine up too but I wasn't famous enough. Good daze back then.
Every erection, and every life, is such an ephemeral thing. Her art has captured that metaphor.
It would have been nice if she had been able to capture optimal casts of all of her subjects, in the vein of any serious work of art. I would like to see them cast in bronze, and exhibited at museums of Fine Arts.
Her work deserves to be recognized as a legitimate trope of Modern Art.

The 60s was a fucking blast, music wise. I was in college then. I saw Hendrix, Zeppelin, The Stones, Joplin, Cream and others in concert. I may be getting a titanium hip replacement in a few months, but my rock cred is solid gold!!!
