CeraVe Lotion: is recommended for normal to dry skin, but is more toward normal or oily. I have combination skin and this isn’t as hydrating as I need it to be. What I do to boost up the hydration, is by pairing it with hyaluronic acid.
I prefer this as a body lotion.
CeraVe Cream: is recommended for very dry to dry skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, has a thick consistency similar to body butter. I recommend you take a pea-sized amount for application.

I’ve been using the cream for years and honestly it’s made me look younger than what I am. I’m a 42 year old Latino guy and I put it all over my face, under my eyes and neck before I go to sleep at night. I always get told I look 10 years younger. Two nights ago I met a girl and told me I looked 30. Feels good honestly, especially cuz I feel old but I don’t look beat up or shot out like other people my age lol All thanks to the CeraVe cream!! Hi mate, i would like to ask you a question about this if it's not a problem. Do you think it would be better a Cerave cream for night and a lotion for the day or using the lotion for the night as well? I'm currently using the cream and honestly it feels great but it's a bit oily and greasy so during the day it may be a bit annoying having that oily feeling (you know what I'm saying). I recommend applying the cream when your face is damp (not wet). You can also use a spray toner first and then apply the cream since it's a lot thicker.
I bought both, I have oily skin and prefer the CeraVe Moisturising lotion on my face. It just absorbed so easily and is very lightweight. My skin feels so soft. With the CeraVe Moisturising cream it was heavier and I felt it on my skin most of the day. It was still good though.

I use the moisturising lotion. I have balanced (normal ) leaning toward dry according to my dermatologist. Usually lotions dry me out but this one 👌works and actually hydrates . I checked the bottle to see what skin type it's for and it's says dry to extra dry. I checked the cream and it says normal to dry. I was confused cause I always thought creams were for drier skin. Anyways I don't care what the label says I'm gonna continue using this lotion. 😊

I've used both and I like the moisturizing cream better. It strangely sits a lot better under makeup than the lotion. I get a lot of pilling when I use the lotion under my makeup. 🤔🤷🏼♀️😄

Personally I use Cerave face moisturiser (AM with SPF and PM) on my face. I wouldn’t use theses on my face just my body.
This review was very helpful... I'm trying to decide which I prefer the lotion or cream. I think I'll by both (one for spring/summer, other for fall/winter) but may start off with the lotion. I'd have to gradually work my way toward the creams, anything heavy on my face will make my skin itch or pore cloggy. New sub, btw!

Thank you. I use the moisturising lotion and i have oily skin. I tend to use it in /autumn/winter months and face theory moisturising gel in summer months during the day.but still the cerave at night
The moisturizing lotion can be used AM & PM. I like how hydrating it feels 👌🏾 I haven't tried anything from face theory. How good is their moisturizing gel when compared to Neutrogena or Bliss gel?
I haven't tried any of the moisturisers you mentioned. But i can say the face theory one is gel-like and non greasy, but i prefer using it in the summer months during the day and under make up. The cerave is my go to moisturiser

I use both. My derm gave me tretinoin so I use the lotion during the day and the moisturizing cream at night with my tret.

I have a dry face and want to use a cleanser and moisturizer but also a salicylic acid exfoliator. The cleanser for dry skin from Cerave is said to be a "moisturizing cleanser". But as i know it is recommended to moisturize the face after applying salicylic acid. So should i buy the cleanser for normal - oily skin that just cleans the face (no moisturizing effects)?

A cleanser is a face wash, so after washing your face, you can proceed with other products. I hope this helps.

Does CeraVe assure a skin glow? I've been using Vaseline cocoa butter and Vaseline Shea butter lotions both make my face too shinny and leave me extra rashes, but I did with Bronze Tone lotion it was lightening my face rather than glowing though no rashes were observed

Yes same here. Use it on damp/wet face. It will feel much better. I think it's because of the patrolatum's extreme sealing propertites and matte finish. I have dry skin and i can't handle the tightness. But it keeps my eczema under control so i will give the lotion a try. It seems more easy going and watery to apply. Hope this helps !

Bingo and creams keep more moisture locked in perfect for dry skin and lotion is for just a basic maintenance and not having very dry skin I can see someone using a lotion in hotter climates and a cream in the winter

My skin is mixte to oily and i think based on your video that the cream is better than the lotion as i use a glowy serum before the cream so if i use the lotion that is supposed to be absorbed .due to the oils in the serum it won't be absorbed

They both don't have chemicals that will harm your skin. I suggest you go for the cream or better still visit a dermatologist.

@@childofgod1306 I’m 17 and been using it for years now the dermatologist recommended it for me bc I kept having dry patches on my face. I have sensitive skin/dry skin without it. Only thing I put on my face is dove sensitive skin bar,water, and then the cerave cream. My skin has always been clear, but would have dry spots on my face bc I used the same lotion I put on my body(which was too thin) and smooth and I’ve never had acne problems as a teen though hope this helps.
I have combo skin (oily in my T-zone) with dehydration tendencies. I am currently using the cream but it still does not feel moisturising enough for me. My skin still tends to feel tight under my eyes, on the lids and the corners, bw my eyebrows and corners of my mouth.

I've currently been using the ponds dry skin cream but still feel the same. I've got acne prone skin too so I don't wanna use anything that would clog my pores or cause tiny forehead bumps

Purchase the moisturising cream. For body application, seal with body oil if it isn't moisturizing enough. You can get Vasline body gel oil.

Ok, so I have same skin as you and I am 27 now, my acne is totally under control and I am using tretinoin. After years of experimenting and trying lots of products from the market, about CeraVe products I can tell you this: Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum > CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream with Salicylic Acid > PM Facial Moisturising Lotion > Moisturising Lotion > Moisturising Cream

@@TamunoAbbey thank you. However, my dermatologist recommended me to use cream as it moisturise better, and I have no Idea even though suppliers recommends lotion for oily skin.
The cream can work for winter but when it’s summer you will need something lighter (it all depends on what you use in your routine and how your skin takes it). I currently use the moisturising lotion as body lotion and seal with oil.
@@TamunoAbbey thanks, in Cambodia ( Southeast Asia region) the weather is very hot. Winter is rarely last long. Only December is Winter and the temperature is just 24C° within two weeks. The rest of the month are summer. Well, I use CeraVe moisturizing cream daily, but sometimes when I apply sunscreen after moisturizer. It appears a small molds. Seem likes it doesn't penetrate well in skin. That's is why I think I would like to change to lotion on face as it lightweight. And the cream is heavyweight.
