Cheers mate! Yes, the market was certainly pumping on the night we went. Thanks heaps for letting us know about this market, we had a great night there!
another great video. that young strapping man won't be throwing temper tamprums for long. he will probably be out chasing the lady's. so enjoys those little temper tamprums for now lol. hope all is well and thank you the continously posting the vids I do enjoy them.
Hey Darren. Great video! Spent the past week in Kata Beach. Going back home to South Africa tomorrow😣. Your videos have helped me navigate the streets and markets pretty well! Definitely returning one day!
Gaaaaarlic bread YUM,,,hardly ever see bread. Good to grill buttery side. I would be such a sucker for the pancake wrapped sausages, chix, pork and sticy rice. Ananda looked so sweet sipping his tea drink. That lil' sweetie having a tantrum? He was just hungry LOL Another great vid Darren!
Lol. Yes, there was heaps of tasty stuff there, we're going to have to go back to try some of the stuff we missed out on! We did enjoy our feast back at the hotel and our little angel was fine when we got back there :)
AND 'we' still have to try the 'peanut cookie'..,It's still in my mind. IF I were a sweet baker and made some peanut butter cookies I would definitely throw a bunch of shelled peanuts on top after seeing that! lol
I literally find myself checking for your videos to drop every single week! Lol, can not wait to visit Thailand! How's little ananda and your wife? (probably spelt it wrong) ever considered do a video where all 3 of you try your favourite foods? Keep posting man! Loving your vlogs!
Thanks Matt, I'm glad that you're enjoying the videos! Yes, Ananda and Aorn are well. I'm sure Ananda will share his opinions once he starts talking, you will see more from Aorn and Ananda in the future!
I find it really hard to find a Thai sausage that isn't full of gristle & fat... although to be honest it is in the Isan/Isaan Region. Not been to the markets around Phuket yet, might have to give them a try if I can next month.
I get hungry watching your videos. The veggies looked delicious! I have visited both Phuket and Ao Nang several times but I had no idea this market existed. I will visit Ao nang in May. I have been thinking about taking a couple of days to revisit Phuket as well.. but what type of transport would you recommend to use, Ao nang to Phuket? Ferry?
Lol. There is a minibus that leaves Ao Nang at 10am every day. It picks you up from your hotel in Ao Nang and drops you to wherever you want to go in Phuket for around 500 baht. I’d personally use that, you can book seats at any of the many tour sellers in Ao Nang, best to book a few days before to ensure a seat.
Really!? omg.. I feel stupid. I didn't know that. I have only heard about bus and ferry.. but if that is the cost for the mini bus that it a lot better! 😁
Hi Darren, Awesome video mate. What a great market. Where abouts is that located. Food looked so great and so much variety. All that food in Sydney would of cost triple what you paid there lol. Hope you are all well mate and stay safe. Greetings from Sydney.
Thanks Peter! Yes, it sure is a great market. It's on the outskirts of Phuket Town, the Google Maps coordinates are: 7.906979, 98.373397. There is so much food there and everything we had was delicious! I hope all is well in Sydney.
MMmmmm 56 days to go then it touchdown in Thailand for 14 days...can anyone tell me if there is street food stalls at kalim beach area as my hotel is beachfront there. just want to eat and fish and slip back a couple of ice cold beers.
They sell pretty quickly, generally as fast as the vendor as can cook them. If it's something that isn't at the appropriate temperature then the vendor will reheat it for you while you wait.
From the description below the video: Chillva Market is in Phuket Town. It’s open Monday to Saturday from 5pm till 11pm. Its Google Maps coordinates are: 7.906979, 98.373397
Haii Darrenb3 if u know tell me normally how much for hotel price for one room .husband/ wife/ and daughter 12 years .normally how much for a day with out foods. Tks
A hotel room could be anywhere from roughly 700 baht (21.10 US) to 20,000 baht (602.60 US) per night depending on where it is, how many stars it is and when you book it for. I'd recommend looking on agoda.com for prices.

Yes, maybe try them down south, I do love them here!

Yes, it isn't that well publicised unfortunately.
nice video Darren...did you try/went also the floating market in Kathu?
Thanks Francis! No, I've never been to the floating market in Kathu.
Hi Darren,
Awesome video mate. What a great market. Where abouts is that located. Food looked so great and so much variety. All that food in Sydney would of cost triple what you paid there lol. Hope you are all well mate and stay safe. Greetings from Sydney.

darrenb3.. Yes Darren everything is fine here mate. Thanks for the coordinates. When I'm back there I'm going for sure. Have a great afternoon buddy.
Too bad about the little guy. I was really looking forward to seeing you eat those strange small mushrooms. I plan to look for those.
You should be able to find them without too much trouble, every market in Phuket seems to have them. They are delicious!
Love to try smoke food! How's that?Chocolate fondue.....!
Lol. Yes, I have to try that chocolate fondue one day :)
Hi Darren do you know if this market is on every night? im in Thailand finally and loving it😊
The hours are given in the video and also below the video, in the description: "It’s open Monday to Saturday from 5pm till 11pm"
Have fun in Thailand!
MMmmmm 56 days to go then it touchdown in Thailand for 14 days...can anyone tell me if there is street food stalls at kalim beach area as my hotel is beachfront there. just want to eat and fish and slip back a couple of ice cold beers.
Is Phuket more expensive than Bangkok when it comes to street food? Since its more of a tourist hotspot?
I'd say they have both fairly similar prices.
thanks
are all their food items served hot. they seem to sit out after cooked and not warmed up.
They sell pretty quickly, generally as fast as the vendor as can cook them. If it's something that isn't at the appropriate temperature then the vendor will reheat it for you while you wait.
thanks. i see the curry pots sometimes not on stoves.
this video is from April, but is it not too hot Thailand in April?
April is usually the hottest month in Thailand.
i am in phuket right now in patong. where is this place?
From the description below the video: Chillva Market is in Phuket Town. It’s open Monday to Saturday from 5pm till 11pm. Its Google Maps coordinates are: 7.906979, 98.373397
This market seemed nice when i was there but drifted around the local area in phuket town to get away from the tourists.
Yes, it is a very local market, it's good place to go if you want to escape the tourists.. We had a great time there!

I believe the name of the "smoking" dessert is Dragon's breath :) the vendor uses liquid nitrogen
