Place it on the charging base. Press down holding the base in your other hand and pull back. Then the bottom cover will come off easily. No need to pry it open.

ye sure, just with a new one, the ones old and used a lot have a lot of limescales and don't come off easily.

Is there an electric toothbrush out there somewhere that you don't have to go to college to change out the battery? If so, I'm buying it no matter what other features it has or don't have.

Yes, i bought a Braun Oral B type 3744, where you can replace the 2 AA batteries.

When i looked closely one of the connections to battery was broken
Soldiered it and now working fine
