More than pretty much, they were manufactured down under. They are a left hand drive holden with a few chevy badges worked in 😁 (just finished switching my bonnet and boot badges to holden, next up is the rim centercaps and my airbag cover . Maybe someday my stereo like he did.
Dang I would have kept the stock Holden screen blue to match the exterior of the car. It would have just been my preference and would have let the continuity, but then again it’s not my car. And I think what you’ve done with yours is awesome!! The fact that you went with the red makes sense. Although there aren’t many other Holden commodores in the states. It definitely does the job of setting your apart from any other Helden commodores you might come across. Especially if you go to a lot of car meetups. I assume there are lots of car meets you go to. And it would be embarrassing if you found another Holden Commodore that had the stock blue screen and the. They look at yours and see a blue screen as well. It will definitelyguve you the rights to say that yours is unique as well as actually custom. Unlike the other ones you might come across at car meets. Having said that. You are one lucky man!!
If you want to do the series 2 badge, You'll have to change your SSV badge to an SS only badge and buy the "VseriesII" Badge (in red if you want SSV redline badge setup) As that is how it is here on series 2 SSV's and CalaisV's. If you want to make that center console as accurate as possible you can always remove the ventilated seat switch and have heated only as we only ever got heated on calais models as well as the special editions.
If it is the same as the Holdens when you are on the fuel economy gauge (12 min mark) hit the button on the end of the indicator stalk and you can change the distance your economy is measured over. For Australia it is 25km 100km and 500km About 15 60 and 300 miles
Really like what you've done with the tail lights.....I'm considering getting the HSV units for my Redline, and upgrading the brakes to the 6 piston Walkinshaw calipers to avoid all the dust. "Football, Meat pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars" Know its a rip off of the 50`s Chevy add but You tube our 70`s adds of that name. Get the surrounds and other Memorabilia from "car goodies" They also put out a Just Holdens magazine thats cool. Cheers

I don't know if it's legal in the US but all you need to complete the feel and classic Australian commodore upgrade is the *_Twin 3" stainless steel engine-back exhaust system 1&3/4 headers._* Search exactly what is in bold italics and your mouth will froth.

It's heartening to see our US cousins relabelling the cars as what they really are... HOLDEN Commodores. Your car is great...a real credit to your work. Just a hint on the MyLink unit. If you want to spend the money there's a company in Melbourne (AU) which provides a new box to go in with the stock entertainment system which will give you a better NAV system (cheaper to update) and also Apple/Android mirroring (impossible with the original MyLink systems). They ship to the US and, apparently, it's all plug and play and you keep the original headunit. I dont mind the red so much because the interior has a lot of red accents that kind of blend with the screen. Thanks for the kind words.

To reduce brake dust you just need to change the pads to a non genuine set.
