- IF YOU GET a Google Doc link in your inbox today, scrutinize it carefully before you click---even if it looks like it comes from someone you trust. A nasty phishing scam that impersonates a Google Docs request has swept the internet today, including a decent chunk of media companies. You've heard "think before you click" a million times, but it really could save you from a whole lot of hassle.
Google has taken steps to neutralize this particular phish. The company said in a statement that it has "disabled offending accounts. We’ve removed the fake pages, pushed updates through Safe Browsing, and our abuse team is working to prevent this kind of spoofing from happening again." But when it comes to phishing defence there's always an element of cat and mouse. Large-scale phishing attacks and those impersonating popular services like Google log-in pages regularly stalk the internet.
"The importance of this phish is not how it spread, but rather how it didn’t use malware or fake websites tricking users to give up their passwords," says Aaron Higbee, chief technology officer at the phishing research and defence company PhishMe, which analyzed data from the fake Google Docs campaign. "This phish worked because it tricked the user into granting permissions to a third-party application. This is the future of phishing, and every security technology vendor is ill-equipped to deal with it."
SMS Diverter, Forwards SMSs that received by phone in which this app is installed, to the cell numbers which are added to the List/ specified by you in the application. It is best for the situation in which you have two or more mobiles (one heavy and one light or feature phone) and you want to divert or forward SMSs from one phone to another/multi phones. The heavy phone needs more charge and most of the time on charge so sometimes the users forget the heavy phone at office or home. Getting out a heavy phone every time from the pocket is also not easy as compared to a light phone.
But this can also be used by fraudsters to hack your phone by installing the software into ur system so pls be aware of such frauds.

I have been using Nokia 3310 cellphone which is 20 years old and all the OTP comes into it so is that safe to use the old version of mobile? Literally I have a little bit knowledge and heard about network vulnerability/penetration that can be intercepted the network connection to get the OTP itself from the victim. thank you sir for letting us know all the knowledge and tricks that a bad guy uses unethically. love you sir from Kolkata. One thing I want to add is to not download any app outside playstore. If you need an app use some constraint environment like secure folder in Samsung and similar functions in other OEMs. Also people should not provide an unnecessary permission to a particular app. One of the most important permission is file storage, if you provide an app this permission they can view your photos, docs every thing. I have seen people providing every permission requested by any app. Data is very important, take it very carefully. If you found any app misusing or asking any permission you think is not required report it on the store

Sir I am very happy to see this all from the police because in past year in 2011 I lost my phone from my room I complain on Patna police on that time I was in Patna nice search cyber cell in Patna but I don't get any cyber cell on that time then I contact higher ranks of my area they helped me to rise my complaint because local police station not taking my complaint as FIR then I just contact with some good people in Patna even I am tech enthusiast and losing My first phone is literally shocked and I got to shock simultaneously in one month because after losing first phone I purchase one and that also lose in my Hostel there was some person who doing wrong things by helping Patna police As a computer operator I find my phone after 2 years back my phone and even any who lose any amount which earn by them hardly and similarly like a phone I was very upset on that two years in last I want to say if anyone wants any specially police they always welcome from my side for any help
