Because of the way that the blade is designed, the hilt (step) can easily go below ground. There is a Blue marker at 12in and a white marker at 18in... we have even gone 24in deep in well watered ground. When you rock the tool from side to side, the blade acts like a double pointed shovel!! By the time you are done, the bottom of the trench is level and as wide as the top. Then use the yellow inserter tool to press the wire or pipe to the bottom of the trench. Lastly, the yellow tool helps you close the trench and make it almost invisible MINUTES after you are done!
You can bury low voltage like this Landscape Lighting electric fences for dogs it's not for 120 volt or higher voltage 12 inch code requirement with GFCI protection before it hits the ground electricians and plumbers have to have their trenches inspected before closing it up
Go to www.margawalt.com select "find a vendor" you will be asked for your zip code. If you have a local dealer, you will be directed to them, otherwise you will be taken to the online store to buy.
Is it possible for 18” jobs?

@@walterkilleen110 thank you. I believe I will purchase a set to try. If they save me the long hand digs where a plow can't fit that would be great

but code also states that if you put it in conduit you only need 6 inches.
@@xalint1 12'' with GFCI protection 120v only. The only way you can get 6" is if you cover it with concrete

And you can have the job inspected before you close up. That's why the 12in deep Electrical inserter can prove burial depth.
