"Look at these thin lips. I hate em. I can hardly taste barbecue" 🤣
RIP To The Great Redd Foxx will never be another like him
😅 man this is what you call real comedy and one of the dirtiest comics there ever was rest in peace my brother
Lol..How could a rabbits foot be lucky when the rabbit lost it 😂
😂😂😂
I'm only 37, and this is some of the funniest shit I've seen
I remember seeing this when it came out. I was 14 I had never laughed so hard before. A few months later HBO had a George Carlin special that was just as funny. Those were the days for comedy and music.
@billhorstkamp98 god I wish I could've seen those
16:47 - Shack up! And if you don't like each other, pack up! I got married and now I'm fucked up. Lmao!
"A hundred dollars just to fuck and me with two good hands." -genius.
"Here's a trick. No dear, sit down, I mean this kind."
The fact that this man gets left off people's Mt. Rushmore baffles me
me too...dude was hella funny
He’ll he’s on mines, next to Richard Pryor, an beside Eddie griffin and Dave Chappelle
i think it might be because he was really a pimp that beat one of his ho's 🤣
He put up a lot of comedians on the map.
@@HawkStorm87Richard Pryor doing the wino meets Dracula, the wino and the junkie on a Sunday morning, Mudbone, et cetera. Funny shit man😂
This is way funnier then any comedian talking about their phone
OK Grandpa.
What world are you living in because legit no stand up comedian talks about their phone
I find him extremely funny. There’s a few that are out today. Back in the 70s we had Red Carlin and a young Richard Pryor. We were spoiled. Oh don’t forget Don Rickles.
Watching this and missing my friend. He was a wonderful man and one of the nicest people I've ever known! It's nice to hear his voice.
I base my standup on him.
@@mbp7060 where can I catch your stand up?
I loved watching Sanford and Son with my Dad 💯 R.I.P to 1 of the goats Redd Fox...👏🏾💯💐
Same
Same here. Now my son watches with me. Father and son tradition, lol.
@@fredrickblackwell9373 That's dope bro respect 💯
G Code 609 ,I also watched with the old man 👍
@Fredrick Blackwell 6:53
That "the clap" joke about being in the marine corps seemed to go WAY over the audience's heads, but they just laughed/clapped politely anyway lol.
My #1 FAVORITE COMEDIAN OF ALL TIME I wasn’t allowed to watch him when I was young I would learn his jokes to fast and repeat them to everyone that would listen to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 damn I got a lot of ass whoppings back in them days 🥹🤣🤣🤣🤣
I grew up in the 70's-80's...My GMA thought Redd was hilarious. She would laugh out loud and watch Sanford and Son every week.😂She was the one that taught me humans are human,we all have beauty and we all have ugly..Let's not let the ugly mess us up anymore 💯
Great story. My grandma loved him as well. My grandparents came over to eat dinner and watch this show on HBO when I was 14. My grandma was laughing so hard she couldn’t talk.😂😂

Hell, I’m in my 50s and it wasn’t my generation. It was like my grandparents. Redd started way way back
Grew up watching Redd. RIP ❤

I first heard Redd Foxx when I was 11. A friend of mine had a Dad who loved music and comedy... He, Ray Shaffer, was my love for the true classics was born. Wonderful share. Thanks for sparking some wonderful memories.
The first great stand-up comic of all time ❤😂
Man, what happened to COMEDY?
Neo-Marxism
For real, so few funny comedians now, my most favorite of more recent times was Patrice O’Neil, he’s gone too though. RIP to both of them!
Rip redd foxx he's my favorite
I saw this when it came out on HBO. I believe it was 1978. My grandparents had came over for dinner and they stayed and watched it. I never saw my grandmother laugh so hard. I remember she looked at me and said, boy, I can’t stop laughing. I’ll never forget it RIP, nanny and Red Foxx
Comedy can possibly hurt some people's feelings so it's NOT ALLOWED by decree of the US Supreme Soviet....
If Richard Pryor is the Clint Eastwood of Comedy, then Redd Foxx is the John Wayne of Comedy.
Out of everyone you compare our two legends to two white guys……

Redd Foxx did it his Way once upon of time the best comedian that rocked the entertainment floor being a household favorite🤣🤣🤣*
I grew up watching Fred in Sanford. Awesome dude.
A Legend way ahead of his time. Reddit Fox rocked.
Ima give you a chance to undo this disrespect
Apparently you knew zero about him. It's Redd Foxx he was my neighbor and friend on Easten and Russell in Vegas. A very nice man and you can't even spell a legend's name partially right.
@@markbirchette8740dudes trying to make a joke because Reddit is a site where people say all kinds of shit
What a blessed crazy funny man he was!
Brings back many memories as a child. Thanks !!
Very cool✌🏼
A true genius! In a time when people would actually laugh, not get offended.
smoking can give you a heart attack?!? holy shit I'm done
He literally scolded them about getting offended over the word "fart".
He told them there's a sign at the door saying it's a triple x rated show and Jesus knows where they are so just enjoy it.
I personally do not understand the question
What a different time it was... without the Karen's lying in wait to get mortally offended and demand"justice".😢

😂😂😂😂 a true genius and legend.
What a Legend!
What a comedian back when you can talk about stuff and not offend nobody I was back there in those days great memories
How stupid are you that you think people were not offended by humor back then. If a black person danced with a white girl on tv in the 50s or 60s it wouldn't have been viewed as funny. There'd be uproar. Its funny now people be upset about that but it wasn't funny back then to most of America. I chuckle when folks like you actually think people didn't get offended back in their day. You must be the type that complains about the "current generation" for the past few decades.
Tons of great comedians still around. The only reason you even know people were offended is because of social media. Just remember people like Redd, Pryor, Carlin and many other artists in different arts have been protested out of towns and shows cancelled. Even hip-hop and rock/metal stars had to talk to Congress about the need for free speech as government was trying to silence them.
the difference is WE still dont g1f about sensitive "opinions" ... he said he "made his show "showy" ... his manager said "be yourself" ... so he was ...
Reminds me of my father lol...👏🏾💯💐
😢same 🫶🏿💯🤲🏿 💐
Right on 👍🏻
The FIRST HBO One night stand special 😎

I always watch Sanford and Son which is hilarious never watched his live stand up just as funny
Ron simmons and billy gun was one of my favorite tag teams round that time, they was about buisness
The wife and I had a male and a female English Mastiff. The male weighed 240lbs and the female was 210lbs. We fed them raw their entire lives. Where we live, we have friends that have ranches and farms and hunt. We got all of their food from friends but, supplemented with whole chickens, roasts, etc., from the store. He is NOT kidding that when a massive giant breed dog takes a $hit, it is a huge pile of said $hit. If we left for a weekend or so, they would have left piles as big as a one gallon bucket. So, we really were homebound taking care of them. But, it was a great joy in life to experience a pet/companion/friend with a giant soul. They passed about 10 years ago and it still is tearing me apart.
Met him going to Vegas...He told me his name was "Fred Sanford".
Fred G. Sanford was his fathers's and older brother's name. His real name was John Elroy Sanford.
Timeless. Thats the test. Does it pass. is it true. yes. yes it does
Love Red Foxx ❤️😂
You'll always be on top in the world
Reddit brought me here and boy am I glad it did. One of the masters for sure and pioneering "blue" (dirty) stand up, way ahead of his time!
nooo sheople WE dont do "pronouns" ... this was comediens ... if ya dont believe me watch the "tv" series "all in the family, sanford and son, carol burnett show" ... WE were spiritually mature enough and blunt honest with each other ...
.....and Demond Wilson, as well!
Awesome… you da man

The best to ever do it

Diet Rite Cola, WOW😊
R.i.p.
I see where George Carlin got his style, and some of his jokes.
Not even close. Weak attempt.
@@wutangisforever2798I have heard plenty of George Carlin and he is one of my favorite comedians, these clips of Fred I am watching for the very first time and somebody bit somebody's style and since these by Fred were out before George was even known, yeah I would say that George copied Fred's style and I would also throw in Ron can't think of his last name, but you know who I'm talking about, he always has a cigarette and a glass of liquor, I still like both Ron and George, but they did copy Fred's style remember I seen those guys for decades George from the late 70s,but like I say this stand up routine is new to me I watched Samford and son,but not his stand up and they immediately came to mind not joke for joke, but you can't deny his mannerism and style not if you're honest, and there is nothing wrong with copying success until you come into your own, preachers, speakers, and lecturers do it all the time. 😊
Greatest comic
