His eyes locked into mine, his arms crossed and leaning against the counter. I look away at anywhere but him, my heart pounding. "Stop staring.." I mutter, flustered. "Damn, you suck at holding eye contact," he says, chuckling. "I know." "Well, you know who to come to when you need practice," he says with a wink. My face grows red and I groan, storming out. Part 2 (cuz somebody asked)(it's a lil long 😅) ~ "Where you going?" He calls after me. I can practically feel the smirk in his voice. I don't bother answering and he probably wasn't looking for one. This was his way of teasing and I knew it all too well. I hear his footsteps fall in place behind me. We were now in the library, the closest room next to the kitchen where we were before. The library was beautiful. Full of books both old and new, heart-warming and thrilling. There were rows and columns of these time-portal like books. Anyone could have gotten lost in them. "Oh cmon now, you can hold eye contact with some old, dusty binded paper with ink, but not this pair of beautiful, charming eyes?" He taunts, blinking his eyes like a child who just asked if they could have more ice cream. "Have you ever heard of the saying, 'Never judge a book by its cover?" I say sarcastically without looking at his face. "Hm. I believe I might have," he says. I take a book off the bookshelf. "But I can't help but avoid the ones that appear to have come straight from the 1900s. I would much rather read a book with an enhancing, intriguing, and beautiful cover." He continues dramatically. I almost snort. "Show me 3 of the ugliest book you've got and maybe i'll believe you." I challenge, still facing away from him. "Not the hardest challenge youve given me, but I'll take it." He says promptly and walks off to another part in the library. I sigh and look down to the book I had randomly grabbed to busy myself. My face scrunches. The cover was.. ugly to say the least. I was already losing this challenge and he didn't even know it. I hear his footsteps approach me so I just hold the book behind my back. He comes, holding only 2 books and stands around two steps away. "I found my books." He says with a pleased grin. I look at the books he's holding. "That's only 2." I point out. His grin only widens. "First book," he declares, holding up a book with just two fingers. " deserves the title of one of the ugliest books in the library because it is molding and I'm pretty sure there's not only mold." He sets the book on the ground and takes a step forward. My heart beats louder again, but I stay still. "Second book," he says, this time holding it in front of me, "deserves the ugly title because of how horrid it smells and the questionable stains it has on the cover. I think this is a reminder to clean the library more thoroughly." I take a sniff at the outstretched book. It smelled like a mix of a dead rat and vomit. He set the book down. If he were to take another step forward, he would have been able to hear my heartbeats. "That's only two books." I point out again, as if that would compel him to not take a step. "That third book," he says, taking a step forward. We were now almost touching, a thin sliver of space between us. He leans down, as if he were to kiss me. I can feel my face growing hot, but I couldn't, or maybe it's wouldn't, move. I could see the lines of his eyes now, dark like chocolate. I stare at those eyes, expecting a kiss. But instead of feeling his lips on mine, I feel the book behind my back leaving my grasp. "That third book," he repeats. "Was in your hands." He holds the book up, smirking. "Deserving of this title because of how simply atrocious the cover is." I take a step back and he takes a step forward until my back hits the bookshelf. "Have I convinced you enough?" He asks in a whisper. I nod, afraid that any sound that escaped my lips would sound like a deranged rat. He gives another one of his pleased looks. "Now tell me, wouldn't you much rather read a book that looks like me?" He asks in a voice that says that he already knows the answer. '"I don't know." I say, my mind a mess when I'm this close to him. "You dont know?" He repeats in fake hurt. "Well look at me closely again darling, and tell me, wouldn't you much rather read a book like me? I look up at his face, avoiding his eyes. "Look at this pair of beautiful, charming eyes," he says, quoting what he had said earlier. "The eye is where all human depth is held." That makes me look at his eyes in wonder if I could really see all there was. I regretted that choice as soon as our eyes met. I could feel my face growing red, my heart racing. I looked into his eyes, forcing myself to not look away. The longer I looked, the more I saw. I saw laughter, tears, joy, but most of all, I saw love. Part 3???
The one who can hold eye contact for the longest time and get flustered very easily but won't look away. Edit: My main OC who never gets flustered but when it comes to her lover, he flirts to much that she's not used it all. She can't hold eye contact with anyone but she'll hold eye contact with him right there while turning red.

Hands shaking, I pick up the next dish, scrubbing it gently with the brush. “Well I’ll just have to teach you some manners then.” As soon as the dish leaves my hand, in one smooth motion, he pulls me back, flips me to face him and pushes me back against the sink, trapping me against him and the counter. I make eye contact for a minute before looking over at the clock. “Oh, look at that, it’s late. I should be getting to bed.” My voice of soft and shaky. I wasn’t scared, more like excited. “Mm mm” he hums in disagreement. I feel his hand graze my cheek before taking my chin and moving my face towards his. That was it, my eyes meet his and I feel a shiver run through my body. I couldn’t help it now, my eyes wander over his face to his lips. “My eyes are up here darling.” His lips turn up with a grin.

At the start of the conversation, it was about a specific topic, however- now, it’s just them rambling. You don’t mind, so you keep listening wordlessly. *this is basically me. I turn into a sunburnt lobster when anyone mentions a boy I like or a boy they think I like but I can stare someone down long enough to make them uncomfortable. Anyone else?

"Stop looking at me with those eyes." I grumble, looking down as my fingers fiddle mindlessly with a loose string on my sweater. He takes a step forward, easily towering over me by nearly a foot.
"What eyes?" he asks innocently and, if i wasn't clutching onto my kitchen counter, I would've collapsed then and there as he puts a gentle hand on my arm.
