mostly for PMS' and Mods..
mechanicals are "okay"
but the electricals are absolutely filled to the brim with gremlins
gotta give them credit though 🤷🏻♂️ I absolutely love how simple it is to work on

I stay away from those racing amd performance cdi boxes put a performance cdi on my scooter and my speedometer/dashboard started to malfunction and act up my stator burnt out because of it fixed everything and now I just ride the stock cdi and to get that 1600-1800 rpm idle you need to play around with your jetting I ride a 95 main jet and 55 pilot jet up in the hills and have no problems riding in the winter fixed all my no start idle issues and bogging out while accelerating under full throttle... these are really great scooters for what they are if you know how to work on them

150 is woth getting you're cycle liance for trust me. insurance is still dirt cheap and you can keep pace with traffic.

Hi, great video. I love my X-pro x-20 150cc scooter with the gy6 motor, but it idles very shaky and is pretty shaky in general. Like car headlights in the rear view shaking around and its hard to see in them. Would a cdi upgrade possibly help with that? I get the feeling the air intake tube from the air filter is too small and making that bigger might help but I didn't even consider the cdi. Also my GY6 also has a fluctuating idle, I always guessed it was the "enricher" as the manual calls it, the auto choke feature, but idk. I raised the idle so it won't conk out but it isnt strong enough to pull me either i dont think
Hi there thanks for being a subscriber/supporter of my Y.T.C, I really appreciate your support. I read your comment here if you are still experiencing the poor fluctuating idle on your scooter ? Try these steps
#1 get a spray bottle fill it with tap water and a little dish soap, start your scooter keep it idling don't let it die out on you because you will need to spray your soap water in your spray bottle all over your carburetor area mostly vaccuum lines , intake manifold..if you see bubbles coming from any where there's your compression leak 👍
#2 inspect your valve clearance, perform a valve adjustment
#3 ok if you didnt find no compression leak & your valves are set perfectly then your carburetor jets need a looking at I would buy a 26mm carb off of Amazon my gy6 150cc scooter had a messed up idle also once I took out the stock 24mm carb and replaced it with a 26mm carb it starts and idles perfectly
@@GY6-SCOOTERS I'll give that a look. Never messed with valves much. I've seen those carburetors, they're not expensive, I might give that a shot either way. Thanks
Did you change out the throttle cable when you did the carb.
Hey Kev!! Do you cover your scoot at night? Where do you keep your other 50cc scooty?? I can't remember if it stays somewhere else? I got to ride my scooty last night for about 20 minutes just around super locally, just before I went to hang out with my grandkids for a little while...my scooty stays in their garage. It was a glorious evening - I forgot my dji to record a ride, but I still documented the amaZIng sky with my phone. ANyway Next ride, I hope will be this Sunday, it is supposed to be really nice....I'm gonna on a Llllllooonnnng ride! I can hardly wait!!!! Best to you Kev!!!
Actually I haven't been covering them up I need to start especially with spring & summer already near around the corner 👍 I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment so I have to park my 2 scooters in the parking stall right outside my door they stay in the open elements I want to buy a shelter for them I've saw some interesting ones for sale on Amazon and Ebay for $200-400 bucks! I'm wanting a 8×8 or 10×10 this way I will protect them from the harmful sun Ray's
@@GY6-SCOOTERS Yep I am going to get a little moto cover for mine too....even though it lives in my kids garage, they chop wood and it gets dusty just sitting there, LOL! I like the idea of a protective shelter. Good luck!

Honest question what’s the longest you guys would take your 150cc on a trip I just got one but not to sure about long distances yet?!
I myself gone 50+ miles one way stopped for 40 minutes and rode back home another 50+ miles

Yeah I purchased a magnetic cellphone mount after reaching for the strongest magnetic mount for cellphones this one came in 1st place and after testing it out I do gots to say it does have a strong grip hold I've been down some very awful roads where I thought my cellphone would be in danger of falling off ....😬 but nope it stood on and didn't even budge let me see if I can find the link to it for you

I saw a swing arm for Chinese 150cc Scooters, on the Walmart website for $26.
Your right I did see it on Walmart website for alot cheaper free delivery I believe . I wish i would have seen this before i made the purchase

How fast can you scooter go?
A 50cc should top out at 35-40 mph and a 150cc should top off at 50 -55 mph if they are stock now if you upgrade them I've seen a 50cc reach 60-65 mph and a 150cc reaching speeds of 75-85 mph
