Problem with both choices is that majority of smaller displacement CC scooters in the US comes with 12 inch tires. Not ideal for our deteriorating road conditions.

Had 50cc and 125cc scooters. All were fun and useful. My main ride since 2007 is a 600 motorcycle. When I have a scooter in the future it will most likely be a 250 to 400 for it's overall capabilities (ability for highway touring). I don't ride in heavy congested cities much. If I did, I'd go for a 125cc to 300cc. I don't see getting anything smaller though.

Small 50ccs are fun in a very different way. But a 125 looks almost like any 50, so if you a moto license there isn't much point to getting a 50

50cc is useless, unless there are no cars around. 150cc+ you can go up to 68 mph and keep up with traffic. I have a 200 and it’s a good non motorcycle that is inexpensive to operate. Downside to any scooter is that they only hold about 1.5 gallons of gas. With 1.5 gallons, you should get about 85 miles but it goes fast.

In california even the 50cc scooters require a motorcycle license. Can only ride it without a license if it has pedals

It's the same in Ohio. You want to legally ride even a 49/50cc scooter you're going to have to take all of the tests, even the driving one. It looks like you are allowed to use a scooter if you have one though. So you wouldn't have to know how to do all the gear shifting regular motorcycles do.

@@soaayyu8726 Uh no, this is true. I have an M1 license in Los Angeles, CA and you still need one to ride an automatic 50cc scooter, including registration and insurance.

In Georgia, you only need a drivers license. No registration or insurance required.

In Ohio there is no distinction. Any vehicle than travel over 20 mph, except maybe electric kick scooters, are considered to need a motorcycle or scooter license endorsement. I didn't actually know this until recently. I never had one.

Thanks for another interesting video. I didn’t catch what kind of scooter you were riding and filmed at the end??
Also, the small part about avoiding restaurants that require tips!! I agree! It’s crazy, there used to be 5-10 percent . You paid a good price for the meal, the person waiting on you usually doesn’t do much more than a cashier-asks what you want, brings it to you, asks how your food is, maybe brings a drink refill, then the bill.. The meals have gone up crazy high in price, and rather having 10 percent as a kind tip, 18-20 percent is written on the receipt!!! I have never been a waiter, so maybe there’s more to it, but why does one expect to rake in 2-5x (or more) what the normal wage earner gets?? Are all tips reported on taxes?? No. Sorry for the long reply, just thought this is where you might have been going with the comment. (Stay away from cupcakes too!!! Your videos are memorable!!)

Government hasn’t ever raised the minimum tipped employee wage in my lifetime. Its below three dollars an hour and waiters survive off of tips. Cost of living has more than tripled since the tip minimum wage has increased, so the government has allowed the cost to be passed on to the consumer by not regulating and allows restaurants to be greedier. I agree with you, it is a lot of money to tip, but these people survive off of it because of a lack of corporate accountability
