What about drinking wormwood tea 3 times a day? Is that too much for you?

Thank you for your video. I need to start on Infliximab infusions for the first time and am quite scared about it. Your video helped. Can you tell me if you felt very nauseous afterwards and did you lose your hair?

My hair started thinning. I didn’t get nauseous, I had headaches and some joint pain.

Hey, I know it's been a while but how are you getting on with them? Hopefully you've seen some positive outcomes!

@@jaymo107 Hi. I have been on a long waiting list and just had my first infusion last week. It was easier than expected. I was terrified to go but the nurses were very kind and considerate. I mostly feel tired and my hair is starting to thin a bit. I suppose it's early days still. Thank you for remembering me. Hope you are getting on well 🤗

@@stupensardi2783 Well done though, it definitely can be a scary thing but I'm sure it'll be something you get used to. Hopefully it works positively, and if it doesn't then there's still plenty of alternatives so don't lose hope! I'm doing great, enjoying being myself again, so it definitely is possible! Take care.

do you have an explanation as to why these infusion related reactions occur with infliximab, in regards to its structure? or just why?

Not too sure buddy, I'd like to know myself!

I think it’s because Infliximab (Remicade) is a human/mouse chimerical drug. The mouse proteins mean a higher chance of reaction. It’s why it is nicknamed “mouse juice”
I had a weird reaction to it during my 1st infusion of it but it only happened once the infusion rate had been increased to the fastest rate. Suddenly I got very sleepy and was slurring my speech then the lower part of my face went numb and tingly and my vision got slightly blurry. They immediately stopped the drug, gave me a big dose or Benadryl via my IV and waited until my reaction symptoms started to improve. Then we re-started it but at a much slower speed and i had no issues. So next time we know we can’t ever go that fast again and will get Benadryl ahead of time.
