Thank you for a very interesting video. I have a diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis and I have been a patient of Mr Parkes. Thankfully I have never needed biologics and my treatment of two NSAIDs per day has helped me stay in remission for the last nine years. I have also been eating a whole food plant based diet during this time which may also have been of benefit.
On a side note the editing team may want to correct the few mistakes made in the subtitles (receive is spelt incorrectly as is management and regimen should be substituted for regiment).

@@carolmatousek2191 Hello there Carol. I don't know what Advil is but I am happy to give you the details of the medication I take. The full title is Mezavant XL 1200mg, gastro resistant, prolonged release tablets and the active ingredient is mesalazine. I understand that the normal dose is four tablets a day but my doctor told me that research showed that two tablets were just as effective so I just take two. Since 2013 this is the only UC medication I take and I haven't experienced any problems or side effects I have also been symptom free the whole time.
I hope this is helpful to you and I wish you well.
