Great review. Impressive trekking poles. I think I'm going to buy these.

The straps are essential for using trekking poles. Hope your distance -z’s. I’ve had mine for almost a year and Hs RA used them on a regular basis during the pandemic.

I have same poles, but I can't get them to lock in place. Very frustrating.

why did you pick aluminum over carbon fiber?

Mainly durability and price. Aluminum is still fairly lightweight and strong. Plus if you accidentally put to much pressure on an aluminum pole it just bends rather then snaps or cracks, so on long adventures it’s more reliable in my opinion. That being said carbon fiber is definitely lighter and still extremely strong, just wasn’t worth saving a couple ounces for an extra 70 bucks. If you are going really lightweight and have the money, carbon fiber may be a good option

@@nolansheahan7465 ok thank you so much. Not caring about the cost so much just trying to decide between the two versions al vs cf. My friend has cf version so the only one I know much about. Thanks for the responce.

What's your feedback when using these for ultra in hilly terrain?

    • @nolansheahan7465

Love em! I’ve done a few ultras with them and have carried them for like 16 hours at a time with no issue. Super lightweight so it does not add to much weight to carry while going up hills or covering long distance. Also super easy to stow away if you get tired of carrying them. Absolutely great poles for mountain ultras!

Hi. Is the size adjustable? Im 5'11 and dont know if the pole is proportion to my height. Hoping for your response thank you

These poles are not adjustable, and mine are fixed at 120cm. I’m 5”10 and they fit me very well. If I were you, I’d get a size 120-125cm. They do have options available that are adjustable but tend to not be as light and only few adjustable poles are collapsible aswell. Hope this helps!

for your height 120cm is in the shorter end. Try to get the 130cm
