Also, aside from some stylized aspects, Heath's drawing IS the Stellar Terapagos we got, including the hexagons on the dome (the glow obscures them in battle, but you can see them plainly in the pokedex image).

What if that was the "seismic activity" that killed all the other Terapagos? What if it grew so big, the ground above it became the Paldea region we know today and then came crashing down on all the Terapagos?
Is it only me that can see the hexagons on all forms? Normal Terapagos, at the top of it's shell is hexagon. Terastal Terapagos, each group of three symbols makes a hexagon. Stelar Terapagos has hexagons all over.
The crystal it rests on is the shell of a different turtle. Terapagos itself represents the Flat Earth as it's called "The Indigo Disk" in reference to "The Blue Marble" and the baby on top could represent life on Earth or possibly the stars. It also represents a life cycle. Baby, then Adult, then at the bottom a dead husk.
I find it really hard to believe they changed its design because of a cutscene when they have animated eternatus's normal and g max forms, which are extremely complex. Like that would disrupt a lot of merch and media. The hexagons they were talking about are the ones orbiting it. And the exagerrstions like the boat on its tail are just heaths inaccuracies. Like his drawings of the paradox donphans arent completely accurate either.
The animation of Eternatus is sort of different from SV because that thing probably took the entire project's budget (looking at you, all other Pokemon animations of swsh). They probably wanted to carry more of a consistent animation throughout the game (more consistent yes, higher quality no). Is it possible for them to do? Yes. Is it expensive and time consuming for a game that releases so often on such a crunched schedule? No, probably not. Think like a project manager- cuts have to be made to make the product just good enough to deliver to the masses. Also, the orbiting hexagons don't interlock. If you look closely on the drawing the hexagons are also drawn on Terapagos' main body.
I wonder if there’s any chance that Terapagos might be involved in Legends-ZA considering how close Kalos & Paldea geographically are? I doubt it but it would be sick Either way I really hope we get a Legends Terapagos game one day based around the time Heath was alive - the timeline (approx 200 years ago) fits in with the other legends games (assuming we’re correct about when ZA is going to be set)
The one thing I'm still curious on is, was Heath just making stuff up and seeing things differently compared to what he put in his book ( the "gorilla" pokemon , the 3 fused together legendries, flamingos in Area Zero) or did gamefreak cut alot of content from the game and those would have probably been explained if they didn't? Even the one school teacher who has legendary medals/pendants on her clothes seemed like she'd be something more. Looking back at all of the theories for S/V before the game was released, shows it seemed like they had alot set up, but just didn't go through with it. Though I don't know if that's us as a Pokemon Community reading into this too much and it wasn't really that deep to begin with..?
You said it yourself. The community read way too much into things. Just luke we were told since the very beggining Paradoxes came from different times and we saw a literal time machine, but people refused to believe it and made up the imagination theory.
I hope we'd see the giant Crystal turtle soon. I was super hyped during the teaser season but then the giant turtle turns out to be just a regular crstal turtle balancing itself on half a crystal ball with itself wearing a little crystal turtle. I want my giant Crystal turtle
I preffer the juxtaposition/dichotomy of the Book's "holy shit it's a fucking WORLD sized turtle destroying everything" vs the reality of "it's actually a teeny tiny turtle that resembles a planet with the sea, but its still on the same level of the OP 3rd Legendaries like Rayquaza, Giratina, Kyurem, Zygarde, Necrozma, & Eternatus"
I think all of the crystals in the under depths were made by a fully grown Terapogos. Like a parent sized one that had to release its energy to protect the little one during the cave in.
I believe Terapago's final form might be so big it could be catastrophic if it took form. I headcanon the villainous team is going after Terapagos without caring about the consequences of it taking form but that, after they steal Terapagos, Amethio might find himself stuck with the Rising Volt Tacklers and in need of helping them stop Terapagos from taking form, at first as his only mean to survive, but eventually he might realize there are pokémon worth of protecting and become a -Crystal Gem- ... I mean, a Rising Volt Tackler.
The Stellar type was such a dud. All the build up and epic let down no matter how you look at it. Consider paying $100 (base game + dlc) to see this crap.
Kind of off topic, but the longer I look at the drawing of Terapagos, the more it kind of creeps me out for some reason. I really like the designs, but the drawing with the voided background gets a bit unsettling. Weird.
I kept looking around area zero before the dlc was announced because I was thinking this enormous mythic entity was *somewhere* down there with me that entire time
I haven’t watched the whole vid but it would make sense for a different Terapagos appearance to happen when we move on from terastalization. Considering Terapagos will be severely weakened without Tera compared to its restricted brethren
It will be stuck as Terastal Form Like Necrozma only having access to Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings They will probably rework the Signature Move once Tera is removed too
Terapagos’ true Stellar form literally being a projection of Paldea’s map itself brought to life is what I’ve always thought… imagine a cutscene where the entire Paldean continent lights up with a projection of… *something much bigger.*
5:02 the pentagons are on the type symbols. But i also think some of the forms for terrapagos they designed will be recycled in a future paldea visit in about 10 years
😂necrozma and terapagos being crystals seems intentional lol! Necrozma gave earth Z-crystals, and it being Z is not a coincidence... It all makes sense now...
Terapagos smallest form does look VERY underdeveloped. You add legs like this to things as a frame and not a final product. It looks like elons car. it is a kids doodle realized however this doesn't fit that enough like it is intentional.
I think the proof that it is unfinished is that they didn't show it first as they were still developing it. They showed the middle form everywhere first.
That's...literally the point. It was created mainly for the anime and there it fits perfectly as coming outside of Liko's pendant. There is nothing more into it.
I do think Stellar Terapagos is kinda underwhelming. A mon with 700 bst should have more to it than the goofiness of Terapagos. Like the concept of turtles all the way down is interesting but I feel like the Chaos Terapagos we saw in the book should’ve been the one we got. I like your theory tho mah boi!
Considering how Terapagos has a gender and multiple of them lived in area zero, I believe there is an adult Terapagos form that evolves from a weaker Terapagos that can’t terastalize and has a stellar form that matches the book drawing
You see, I think that since stellar terapagos looks like “how the ancients perceived the world” according to its dex entry perhaps if can change and adopt different appearances according to how the viewer expects it to be seen. Maybe heath subconsciously wanted to see a more chaotic and primordial version of terapagos, that’s why there were all these storms, tsunamis and planets. Heath perceived terapagos as a god, whereas the MC and the rest perceive it as turtles stacked on top of another.
You can put terapagos in zygardes shoes. Its too early in the anime to show off its true form, Probably have to wait until the dlc of gen 10 to see it.

The scarlet and violet anime is new territory and in the long scheme still at a very early phase. Though we are already seeing minor things that could potentially link it to the upcoming legends ZA. And the new pokemon or forms will be in the anime after its released. Terapagos' story will be on the back burner but it wont end up like eternatus did because its still a huge focal point of the anime. On one hand it will be as you said and everything speculated is just drafts, scrapped content or prototype versions that may or may not exist. But on the other hand to really bring in interest they can always add more to terapagos like they did with zygarde, Zygarde was always planned to be what it became, Terapagos has that chance too. Game wise we wont see it in ZA and probably just come in and be available like zygardes forms were at some point. But again thats just a thing they can do or not. A theory.
