I took the plunge and bought one pair for a pub. The layout of the pub is skinny rectangular, about 20 ft wide to 50 ft main karaoke space with the adjoining bar space and video poker space beyond that. These rumble with zero distortion, and are loud. The speaker can be tweaked in the onboard menu, and tweaked further from the mixer, so you can add a sweeter mix and punching mid where wanted. They are solid out of the box, and come with their own protective covers. I bought a second pair and am happy with these.
Good video - We use the HK Big Venue Pack - (Pair of L5 115 FA 15" active mid/high units and four L SUB 2000 A dual 12" active subwoofers) outstanding sound quality and seriously loud. Exceptionally well built - makes a good hire speaker.
We also have the same big venue pack and very impressed with the system as well. The celestion compression drivers just sound so good. The subs roll off pretty quickly below 50Hz but they make up for it with the attack. The lsub 4000 is supposed to be a fantastic sub but it is massive!
I auditioned both the Polar 10 and Polar 12 and they sounded really good. I was very impressed. Now if only we could purchase Soundking products in the states, I’d be all over it as they would undoubtedly be less expensive than the HK branded versions.
I use 2 pairs of polar 10. I don t believe the polar 10 is the same system as the soundking because from the specs of the soundking, their product say 300 w rms for the amplifier. That is definatly not the case for the hk by experience. It say that the polar 10 is suppose to bring 2000w but I will say more 2000w maximum power. I will say more like around 800w rms. I have an issue with one of them. I have a mid driver (I think) that do creaky sound but just after 2 or 3 hours of loud music. I suspecting a bad mid driver that give problem after he come hot. I went at l&m with it but no issue at this time. But from what I see from the specs, the 2 products looks the same but they are definitly not the same at the end. If you have something else I'm missing let me know. Thank you
Just found out that there is another rebadged unit based off of the Soundking called Agera Acoustics CA-12. Just saw a video comparing them and they look practically identical with small differences like the holes in the grill of the array speakers. Just thought I’d chime in as I really liked these speakers and the sound quality. Oils use some additional bass for the club/house/hip hop music I play, but so clean sounding.
Bro you were correct. We bought 4 Sets recently from Music Store Germany and all units were not starting up and its a very cheap chinese box. Dont trust the speaker guys. Dont Buy it.
I heard from another HK audio demo guy on RUclips and he claims 100% better than Evox 8? Wow. Hopefully L&M will actually carry them in store one day! But quality could still be the question!
Don't be concerned about the quality! It is a high quality build and even though the timber is MDF, this does not detract from the fact that it is timber, not PLASTIC!! Yes MDF swells when wet as the Angry Sound Tech says but are you going to get it wet??? I compared my Polar 10 to the Bose Pro 8 and the Evolve 50 and I believe that the sound from my Polar 10 is very "natural" and true to my voice, whereas the Bose is more like a Hi-Fi sound. The subwoofer base is solid, heavy and robust and the sound from the bass is incredible. I use this unit in pubs, clubs and retirement village halls and have never cranked the master volume past -15 [that's minus 15] when it could go to +10. And the column speakers and spacer lock tightly into place with no wobble like the Bose units. So do yourself a favour and go and have a test of these well-priced, quality units, you won't be disappointed.
@@laurensedenburg8144 HK Audio manufactures the their mid level and high end boxes in Germany. Their lower end cabinets are manufactured in China. If you read the comments on this video someone asked if the Polar 12 was made in Germany and HK Audio replied "Engineered in Germany but built in China" fb.watch/6lN7G9N9YV/
Just trying to work out if they are manufactured in PRC. Trying to find definitive info is quite foggy, which suggests they might be trying to keep it on the down-low. He says at 0:35 that they are not made in CH but this may be a guess rather than intel
I don't know where you are having an issue but step on the front lip. Hold the base column and wiggle the top column out. Then do the same to the next column.
hi, I was also interested in the polar series but also found out that the soundking is actually this same speaker, I looked at the schematics of the amplifier and it is exactly the same so HK audio just put their logo on it !!! ! Greetings From Holland
Yeah it's always a tough one when you find out that they just slapped their logo on a different companies speaker... I would only buy the models that they for sure build in Germany.
WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. I HAVE AUDITIONED BOTH SIDE BY SIDE. HK BLOWS THE SOUND KING OUT OF THE WATER. Yes THEY LOOK VERY SIMILAR BUT DEFINITELY DONT SOUND THE SAME. SOUND KING STARTS DISTORTING AT 3/4 VOLUME> THE HK CRANKS WITH NO DISTORTION AT HIGH VOLUMES
Yeah likely most people with an opinion here haven’t done this. They sound great. I did the same in a store but compared with an LD Maui 11. Much nicer bass and mids from the HK.
you are right, Polar 10 is just a rebranded China OEM system they have bought from Sound King: www.soundking.com/products.aspx?TypeId=530&FId=t3:530:3 I commented the SoundKing OEM thing on their Polar 12 Facebook introduction and got this answer from HK Audio so they are claiming that there are differences but I'm not sure I believe them: "It is a lot more than just a rebranded system, if you would put them side by side you would hear the difference"

That's a good system! And this is the real Made in Germany HK Audio gear!

Hello did you try polar 10 yet
I was interested in the system
I have a Yamaha STAGEPAS 1000
Is the polar 10 better
Bought 2 and one of them just stopped working after 2 weeks, it powers on but I don't get any sound out of it

I’d take built in China over Built in USA any day of the week. I’ve had issues with almost everything I have that was built in the USA.

How doze it compare to the polar 12

Stan you're making me feel like I need to throw down some cash and buy a pair to test out! lol

Have a look at this RUclips video ruclips.net/video/3BSiexKm3vo/видео.html it is proof that they are manufactured in Germany, NOT China!!

They are designed in Germany by HK and built in China.
Does anyone else struggle to disassemble to columns without the help from someone

HK only 6 speakers and made in china.thr LG line array has 16 speakers and made in UK and more cheeper
the soundking KT series looks like hk linear series
Sound of the car 🚗👌👌👌👌V8? 💕 it

Soooooooo Loooooooonnnnggggg
Honestly it seems that you don’t know nothing about the Polar 10 🤣
Care to enlighten me?
Different drivers, different amp 2000W, subwoofer casing is wood not plastic. All six drivers are in upper part. Mid part is just a spacer.
50 people maximum very poor
Why drive and make these videos? Why not pay attention to driving?
I'm guessing you've never drove from Bismarck to Fargo in North Dakota... It's flat and straight for 200 miles with not much traffic.
And seriously have you never watched a car review on RUclips? They all drive and talk with mounted cameras. Just as I was doing.
