I was in HF last week and found the hearth! It is still in great shape and 'twas a wonderful creation to behold. I camped the night there. Thanks for sharing!
@@Jwnorton hey there. I’m wondering if trailkilla got fed up with the new way RUclips is doing things with creators and decided to not support the platform anymore. He hasn’t posted anything in 3 years or so. A lot of my favorite utubers have faded away. I’m sure they’re still good friends.
Yay!! He's back! I've been waiting for a new video. I'm quite addicted to your channel. I watch your videos every single night while drifting off to sleep. They are the perfect length of time and honestly, your voice is calming. You and Mike Crack me up, your wife is awesome and your puppy is so cute. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.
I can’t believe that video was 5 years ago. I remember before that you took Sara out In I believe the Shenandoah’s and cooked pancakes with the Chinese stove and left dark spots on the pancakes. I remember thinking he needs a diffuser to create more convection and less conduction. Seeing you with that diffuser made me smile. That bread looked amazing. You just keep getting better and better. Thanks for keeping us entertained and inspired all these years.
Of all the channels that I watch, you are my favorite. As soon as I watch the newest video, I have a hard time waiting for the next one. You really are unique. I only found others because I needed something to watch. Thank you for what you do.
A couple of weeks ago I was wondering about the stone fireplace that you and Mike built after seeing that as a suggested video on my pc. You are now a professional fire starter and chef. 👍 It's hard to believe that I've been watching your videos for 10 years now! If your ever up for a live stream let me know.
Loved that first video and also Harriman for some reason ? Reminds me of a lot of personal things! Love the videos friend, stay original - nostalgia is respected here 100 percent 👍
Great job on the stone fireplace reunion. It would be great to see you & Mike making a trek back. Always good to see you, Mike, Sarah, and friends on your videos. Keep up the great job you do on your videos. The good looked amazing! Thank you and look forward to seeing another trip with you & Sarah.
A little tip on those pocket Bellows, make sure you dry them out good before stowing them or they will rust out on you. Especially in Colder Weather blowing through them causes them to condensate really bad and get wet.
Dude, you're the best in that you show the fallibility that occurs when you go into the unknown! I saw a 900 degree pizza oven, portable mind you, on Amazon that might have to be humped on some trial somewhere! Keep up the good work!!!
Yes! I remember that video. Cool nostalgic trip. I like the way you do the sponsor spots. Straight up and just in one little portion at the beginning. Tell Mike we all miss him.
My good friends of 40 years are headed to a campsite we made 10 years ago up here in northern Ontario. So this video is meaningful to me! I appreciate good heartfelt things like this! Respect ✊ thanks for sharing your experiences with us👍
i remember that video coming out. I rewatched it this past January and actually inspired me to plan a "Front door to trail" trip." Im in south philly and theres a bus station 10 ft in front of my house that goes to 30th street station where I can catch an amtrak from. Thanks for the idea.
I realy liked this hike and camp .you were actually Abel to camp and cook and eat comfortably and you didnt have any bad weather no Deap snow yeeeee haaaa .yea. I would like to see more of that. Thanks
NICE TRIP AND A VERY GOOD VIDEO, GLAD YOU FOUND YOUR OLD SPOT. I AM SORRY THE FIREPLACE HAD BEEN DESTROYED. ANYWAY, THANKS FOR SHARING AND ALWAYS BE CAREFUL, MY FRIEND!
Love my pocket bellows, I started using them a few years ago and they go on every trip now, I planning at least 1 maybe 2 night out camping this weekend, another great adventure as always, thanks for keeping us entertained
Yeah, that little guy is probably going to be packed out on every trip from now on. I'm looking forward to testing it out in some wetter conditions as well. Good luck on the upcoming trip!
@@sintax77 After being the unofficial fire-starter among my friends in recent times I've been looking for this exact kind of thing. Thanks for showing it in your video!
Saw those firestarters at BJs over the weekend and was curious about them. Looks like I'll have to take a trip back! Also, those sausages from Aldi are delicious for what they are. My go to.
Thanks again for another great video! I look forward to each of your adventures. I am a day hiker only but I like to see these longer and more challenging hikes! Your hike have given me some ideas for where I could even do some shorter hikes! Looking forward to your next hike!
Glad you found the hearth. Very nice hiking & camping trip, nice views. Hearing those bobcats circling camp would've freaked me out, but they didn't attack, so that's always good. The camping bread & sausage looked tasty. Another great hike with Sintax 77. Take care & stay safe.
Awsome trip! As a backpacker who lives less then 1hr from harpers ferry I have to say the area is surprisingly nice. We just did a 1 night trip into harpers ferry from the maryland side. I have hiked the AT south from harpers ferry but never thought of going off trail. I just might have to try and find that fireplace my next trip. Thanks for sharing!
Man totally forgot about that video thanks for including the little flashback. You need to drag him out for another adventure soon. Nice that you located the old hearth to bad it was a bit beat up.
Great ideal getting rid of the sausage casing! Sometimes at the end of my hikes I get into the situation of adding Slim Jims to my meal, and the cooked casing has the consistency of Scotch tape.
I use a little Anker brick that works really well for me. It takes a while to fully charge, but man, I can keep my phone going for days and days and days on the trail.
Super standard vlog as always. Very interesting to see you more relaxed in this one a nice change of pace. Some rather interesting formations in those rocks along the way. ATVB. Bushyboy Oz.
Awesome fire pit and a amazing video picture unbelievable place and you made awesome camp stay safe and warm see you on the next video. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hard to believe it, but we just about out of winter and swinging right back into the spring season. And after that last NH trip, I'm more than ready for some chilled out 3-season camping. :)
I think you would love Here in northern Ontario Canada ! Algonquin park, French river, anywhere here! I hope you get to have the experience if you haven’t yet? Respect always!
Thanks for another great video! Those sausages and the skillet bread looked so good I could almost taste them. There's nothing better than a hot dog or a sausage cooked over an open fire. I remember the previous video from when I discovered your work and went through all of your vids. I also loved the pocket bellows. That's something I've never seen before. Maybe I'll purchase that item to use at my cabin in the Smokies. Keep hiking and sharing with us!
I remember this place from an earlier video. Will trail Killa ever be in a future video? Getting stoked for a trip this weekend to north fork mountain with my son.
Love the sound of the Norfolk & Southern train in the background. Can't believe it's been five years since you and Mike made that fireplace ! Always enjoy your videos as I have for years....thanks for another great one 👍

He’s got young kids and a busy job - probably a lot in his plate.

Just what I needed, thanks for sharing another adventure. Im stoaked as always to see what you get into. Take care and be well.

somehow these videos are amazing for hangovers
Awesome video! That bread looked amazing.
Love your trips. Wish I had someone to do this. Never been on a hiking camping trip. One day I will try this. Miss seeing Mike in your videos.

That collapsible bellows is a game changer... I love mine!!! I bought it after I caught my beard on fire. lol.
Sintax you are an OG been riding with you from the jump. You have been a huge inspiration to me in starting my own channel, thank you sincerely.
Thanks for coming along for the ride!
Love the content. East coast represent!
I'm so excited this popped up today. Great Throwback video. Wish Mike was back
Thanks for the video. That diffuser is brilliant! I need one
Drove my tractor trailer across that bridge many times. It’s a beautiful area.
I'm fairly certain more tractor trailers than cars that cross that bridge, for sure. :)
I live in Harper's Ferry. Finding your camp site sounds like a fun mission. If I find it I'll respectfully camp an give you an update.
Love it! Don't forget the sausage links :)

Nice - Love the woodland and hearth :)
Great ideal getting rid of the sausage casing! Sometimes at the end of my hikes I get into the situation of adding Slim Jims to my meal, and the cooked casing has the consistency of Scotch tape.
So enjoy your videos! Hope you make it back to our area at West Point again. There are so many trails and camping spots waiting for you!
I remember the fireplace video, I guess I have been here for awhile lol awesome adventure
Omg… I like camping and cooking! This is wonderful!! Thanks for sharing!
Love it dude. Awesome to see you go back.
These throwback spot videos are awesome. Feels nostalgic for sure. What's next? Revisit to the Abandoned Turnpike? Lol keep up the great work

I live right on the other side of Harper's Ferry from where you were. ❤️
Oh yeah, at beginning of video and I remember the chimney!! Hope it is there
I think the Harper's video might have been the first one I saw. I was looking for info on a basic camping hammock and swan dived into the rabbit hole.
very nice video, seems like you just relaxed and enjoyed yourself. Take care.
That was awesome! I was just thinking recently about the first video you and Mike did and how cool it was you guys took the train.
Enjoyed the video as always.
Yes I remember it! Not a single food joint was open.
Love your presentations and adventures

Cranking out the trips and content! “I forgot the mustard”.
Cool video. I really dig the camping in the forest style videos.
That was a great video.
I remember you and your buddy walking over the bridge and through to the spot where you made your "hearth".
You might have started the same day I did Devil's Marbleyard. A 60's day sandwiched between two 30's days :)
this makes me excited for spring and summer. hammock time!!!
