As a BSc Physical Sciences Graduate without any background in coding I'm so excited to embark on this journey. You are truly an inspiration. Stay blessed.
Thank you thank you for your excellent advice at 15:41 - don't worry about money but focus on getting better! It's shocking how many 'devlopers' you meet who can't actually code and yet they want to be paid high salaries. My experience is only based here in the UK where I've been a software developer for 20 years. As a senior leader of my team I do hiring as well, which means that I get to talk to many developers. Some of them don't even know Linq basics, and yet they tell you that they have 10 years experience. For me, I'm always learning. When I'm watching TV, I feel a bit guilty because I feel that I should be using that time for learning. I suffer from a bit of Imposter Syndrome as well and that's why I just can't stop learning. We are lucky at work because they pay for our Pluralsight subscription to motivate us to learn, and I'm always on it. So please focus on improving your craft and the money will take care of itself. When you become good amongst your peers, everyone around you will notice sooner and respect you for it. Lastly, just remember that you can always learn something new from anybody, so be open minded about things. Happy coding!
Thank you for this advice Ernest. Graduated in 2023 but haven't landed any internship yet but I am busy trying to upskill myself because I saw that sometimes internships don't necessarily mean they will take an unskilled person.
Thanks for the content my guy, we follow your content on this side. also a software developer but at an enterprise level, we use tools and technologies that are only approved by the organization even if you know how to do a certain task in an easy way but you have to follow the rules but ke as you always say..we move. Your content is fire 🔥🔥 Busizwe mf2, I've watch a couple of your videos. Forgive me it I've missed a this. As a cloud developer do you test your applications you develop prior pushing it to the cloud or the is someone for that? also what is the likely hood that a person can be employed if they only know and have a single project base on JavaScript framework alone for front and backend integrated with database (that is not optimized / uses free platform for hosting)?
Hi.i'm a plant process controller,47 years interested in Automotive program, i want to study electrical and computer system diploma with unisa, do i still have a chance to grow.
You can do maths and physics to do a Computer Science but even without maths and physics you can be a developer by doing other qualifications. FYI one comment was enough you cant ask the same thing in 4 different videos its not necessary
Hay bro i just want some advice i wana start web development front end to be specific and i am 16 with 2 years experience and i would like to ask if it would be a good idea to become one.
Thanks for the advice bro, really appreciate it .As a graduate software developer I'm actually struggling with employment shame I'm starting to think to think there is something wrong with the CV. Now as someone who was once unexperienced where did you start?, what templates did you use in fact which template got you your first job. Really looking forward to your response....
Eish man I have been in the industry for like 7 years now so the CV I used back then its now outdated. Try check out Graduate and Junior roles on Indeed, Graduate24, Careers24, Pnet and make sure you have a proper linkedin page where you clearly specify what you interested in doing and try to connect with recruiters
One thing I love about this channel. It's so raw and natural. Nothing is scripted like the other Day in the life videos I've seen. Where you can clearly see that it's all fake
Just discovered this channel today, I am working towards being a Developer. I have done a 9 months internship as Cloud Engineer and I am also in Cape Town too. I am very hopeful too maybe we might meet some day.
I like manager's advice! That side line projects has no limitations. It's your playground to learn new things
Very useful information, I cannot thank you enough. I’ll be doing my 3rd year in 2024 in Applications Development.
All the best
