Not a perfect but they all love each other.
I loved how this episode had a lesson for Shikadai but also showed how great of a parent Shikamaru is. He allowed his son to make his own decision without imposing his own will on his son. And he was okay with whatever decision his son made.

This is probably the best and most normal family dynamic in a Japenese home and probably a lot of other homes. I feel like each family is made to represent certain types of families. Nara family represents the Japanese family, Uzumaki represents the American family, Uchiha represents the family with military ties(Sasuke being always away on missions), Mizuki represents the new wave of single parent families. I could probably pull some similar for the others but these are the main ones and it kind of makes sense: this series is trying to speak to every child from every household in some way.

FINALLLY this is what i hoped for for all the new generation. For them to learn both parents move sets and find ways to fuse them together. It shouldnt be only Sarada and Boruto who does that.
One of the things I really like about Boruto is that it actually has tried to explore the overarching world beyond just the ninja. They talk more about the connection to the Feudal Lords, Nobles, and the Samurai under their employ, and how Ninja fall into all of it. We got the tiniest glimpse of it back in the original first seasons of Naruto, but now they're giving Lords names and giving us a more direct view at times like this one. I hope stuff like this isn't forgotten in lieu of making it an actiony show after the first timeskip, like what happened in Shippuden. They actually remembered that these are ninja in the *normal world* being employed by *normal people* to do missions in secrecy.

They talk more about the connection to the Feudal Lords, Nobles, and the Samurai under their employ, and how Ninja fall into all of it. We got the tiniest glimpse of it back in the original first seasons of Naruto, but now they're giving Lords names and giving us a more direct view at times like this one. I hope stuff like this isn't forgotten in lieu of making it an actiony show after the first timeskip, like what happened in Shippuden.
They actually remembered that these are ninja in the *normal world* being employed by *normal people* to do missions in secrecy.
