It has come to my attention that Hong Lu Tingtang Gangleader has bleed. This was an oversight on my part, but you just need to avoid using his purple attack that inflicts bleed in the second phase. Other than that, he's a super strong addition to the team!
You can still use dodge to remove unwanted attacks as long you proc it. The game also tell you what is the next attack the sinner is going to draw. It's only going to screw you if you are going to get 3 purple attacks on a row.
Would G. Corp Gregor be a better alternative? He is a self healing rupture dealer (which synergies well with base Sinclair if you wanna do that) with the same resistances as Ting Tang Hong Lu.
Honglu is a bad choice, because you can't use his purple and green is not great against single targets. Heath Rabbit is better because he can inflict fragile. I beat her with R heath, R gregor, and base sinclair.
For those who wanna beat her vanilla-only: *Heathcliff, Ishmael, Faust, Meursault, Outis,* all leveled to at least level 25. With this comp, you'll have pretty neat clash winning power and reasonable ability to spam Outis and Ishmael base EGOs, as well as consistently get Meursault's base EGO in. Get Faust's EGO in at least once for good measure so that she has a nice buff to her skill power. Just, uh, just remember to not actually use Heathcliff's base EGO; save that purple for Meursault. Meursault's base EGO is absolutely a lifesaver here and should be used at any opportunity to make sure Kromer does not hit like a truck and that her attacks are actually slow enough to be intercepted. ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST ONE EGO AT READY. DO NOT USE THEM FOR DAMAGE; USE THEM AS THE GET-OUT-OF-CLASH FREE BUTTON. Generally, using Auto-Win-Clashes button had been actually working for me for pretty much the entire fight, though always give it a double check just to make sure. The exception is The Gripping and I Shall Claim Your Life: - The Gripping WILL stagger the character clashing with it, even if they win the clash, so you gotta divert the attack to someone you can afford to sit around staggered (I used Faust as bait); once that happens, Kromer will usually immedately target the staggered character with every attack of hers, including... - I Shall Claim Your Life usually comes right after a character's been staggered by The Gripping and will thus target that character; you ABSOLUTELY need to intercept it with an EGO attack to win the clash, which will then auto-stagger Kromer next turn and give you an easy window to go to Love Town on her. You probably won't do her in immediately, but you will absolutely whittle her down to her actual stagger threshold, allowing you to quickly re-stagger her in next couple of turns. Her second phase is much more straightforward; once you manage to beat her Phase 1 while keeping all your guys alive, you should have no trouble beating the snot out of Phase 2.
You forgot that reducing to 0 aka 1 hp on the first phase doesn't stop her other's attacks from still going through. You really don't want take extra damage for nothing.
Been binging this game for the last 72 hours in between work, and really happy to see the attention Limbus Company is getting. ALSO thank you so much for the guide, I was using N Corp Faust and N Corp Meursault for the longest time and getting walled at the end of the second phase So thanks!
Also its usefull to use sinclair "the one who shall grip" E.G.O, it does a special interaction in the first phase, causing kromer to be staggered on the first turn
Bleed and Burn can be used as long as none of it remains at the start of the next turn. So you can definitely use someone like Liu Gregor as he only inflicts Burn with 1 count only. Bleed is the same as long and the one who inflicts bleed attacks first and Kromer uses it all up before the turn ends.
Also, with latest updates, Kromer's passive now actually scales down to zero depending on how many Signs you've collected for Sinclair (provided he's in your fighting group).
one sinner i used that was super valuable for kromer was blade lineage yisang, his high base attack allows for most clashes against the first phase to be won, also yeah winning the clash for "i shall claim your life" is so important so always save ego for that, plus she has one attack that instant staggers no matter what so try to divert that to a sinner that cant win clashes easily/sinclair for the reduced damage
Hello from the future. Just wanted to let you know that this guide is still helpful. I was getting filtered on this boss with a team of under-leveled base IDs. Was able to crack it after your tips.
Psa: if you bring gregor with Legerdemain, DONT UPTIE IT TO 2. If you inflict maggots on ANY turn, you are done, say goodbye to your chances at winning. If it is uptie 2, pray to God and everything holy that you don't inflict maggots
Nice video bro, this would help me a lot if I had found it earlier but it still good if it's needed to re-visit, except for the part for the Hong Lu part, but you made it clear on comments so... Keep up the good work 👍
Well... Thank you for this guide. It seems I was... wholly unprepared for this encounter. My current (And to be honest ONLY) team that's build and ready to go is a bleed based team using Grip Faust, Kuro Ryoshu, Kuro Hong Lu, Base Heathcliff and Shi Don Quixote. I might as well quit the attempt, and raise the units that are actually useful for this engagement before trying again. Thanks for the guide, and for saving me likely a few hours.
That explains why she obliterated me. I brought in Walpurgisnacht Outis which I believe she does inflict burn damage. Shame too, I actually love her since shes incredibly powerful. Definitely hoping for more gun-based IDs as well
The fact that you are in no way informed about bleed and burn literally healing her, is so annoying. Not to mention basically ALL of my identities that are good, also have bleed or burn on them. It was just simply infuriating having to go back in to level identities up
This is the first fight where I had to actually look at the attacks coming and do anything besides the win rate button... i still have no idea how the combat system works at all or what you're meant to look for team build (i literally do not know what the egos or character variants do??? besides looking cool which has been my system for picking so far) and idk wtf the coin flips r i see no coins!?!?!?! T_T anyone relate...
Thank you for this guide. This boss handed my posterior on a silver platter with my bleed build. I was able to defeat her in 14 turns by abusing meursault’s base E.G.O, using meursault’s and heathcliff’s tremor skills to constantly stagger her, and using don’s rip space mid stagger.
Honestly, not a fan of this boss (mechanically) because of the healing. 2/5 of my main squad use bleed, and what? I'm expected to just ditch my two lvl 30s? Still a fun fight, but it sucks that I got unlucky with my picks and can't use my favs because the boss becomes next to impossible if I do.
I was wondering why my dawn office fixer Sinclair always died first until I found out on this video that burn literally heals Kromer. Now the deal is he is my strongest sinner of them all..
*my finishing canto 3 and deciding to check a guide to see how well I did blind* Also, I brought burn and bleed and ahe didn't get her buff, I looked it up and she shouldnt be getting it if you have the full sign
I believe I made this video when collecting the 3 marks didn't remove that passive. Before that, that same passive didn't work at all. Project Moon may have fixed it, but I may be completely wrong.
Jefe de Los Mariachis Sinclaire will be useless in the first phase since Kromer is resistance to blunt damage. If you do, you shouldn't bring base Heathcliff for example.

@@limbuscompanywarden and what I suppose to do with Faust that one who grips and GroBhammer from N.corp? They are both good as Faust the dd and GroBhammer as tank
Well, It mostly depends on the identity you use. Some sinners are just bad at clashes (like mersault), others are kind of bad but can get a lot better with the ego passive (just like Ishmael's base ego passive) and others can become much stronger once you use the ego (Faust and heatchcliff's base ego passive). I defeated Kroger using blade lineage sinclair, lobotomy corporation Faust, and base heachcliff, hung lo and outis. All of them at lvl 23. You also must be careful with egos, saving them for the stronger attacks.
@@arsaeus3828 thank you so much for the your tip.. it really help me alot. But i still forced my way to make it work using mersault, ishmael, gregor, yi sang, and don. I seen few people run with surgery passive which kinda OP in my opinion.
Unfortunately, yes. The dungeon is where you can bring in Sinners of one identity. Having base Sinclair and Meursault as stated in my video will help immensely.

Would G. Corp Gregor be a better alternative? He is a self healing rupture dealer (which synergies well with base Sinclair if you wanna do that) with the same resistances as Ting Tang Hong Lu.
